Objective:

ThisdocumentwillgivesomeoverviewongivingextramileagebyusingSAPPM.

Role wise requirements:

Inacompany,eachuserwillplaydifferentrole&eachwouldliketoseedifferentsetofdata.Aspertheirwish,someof
theirrequirementscanbemappedthisway.

Generally,allthePMrelatedorganizationalstructurewillcontainMaintenanceManager,MaintenanceInCharge,
MaintenancePlanner/Engineers,MaintenanceForemen&MaintenanceTechnicians.

Eachwillrequest/desiretoviewdifferentsetofdata.

SetStartTransaction:

IhadthisrequirementfromoneofmyclienttogetthedetailsimmediatelyoncehelogintoSAP.

MaintenanceManagerHewishtolookatonlyApprovalspendingfromhissideondaytodaybasis
MaintenanceInChargeHewishtohaveeitherlistofPendingApprovalsfromhissideorListofPMOrdersrunning
currently
MaintenanceEngineersHewishtohavelistofOutstandingOrderswhichneedstobeexecutedtoday/StatusofIn
ProcessOrders
MaintenanceForemenHewishtoseelistofInProcess/ReleasedOrdersassignedtohim
MaintenanceTechnicianListofOperationsassignedtohimondaytodaybasis

Thismaynotbetheexactrequirementinallcases,butmostofthecase.

Ofcourse,throughdevelopment,anything&everythingcanbeachieved.Butinstandard,therearesomeconstraints.

Fortheaboverequirementofhavingthescreenatlogintime,SetStartTransactionfunctionalitywillworkouton
someextent.Butconstrainthereisonlyonetransactioncanbedefinedhere.

ForMaintenanceManager,eitherWorkOrderapprovalorPRapprovalwillbethepriority.Asall/mostofthe
MaintenancePRwillbetriggeredfromMaintenanceOrders,theappropriatetransactioncouldbeeitherPermit
ReleaseorWorkOrderrelease.Thisisagainbasedonthecompanyhierarchy.

1.PermitApproval(IPM2)
2.WorkOrderRelease(IW38)

Here,userbasedselectionscreenvariantcanbedefinedtomaketheirjobeasy.Justoneclick,theygetthereportwith
theListofPermitspendingfromtheirside.

LayoutscanbedefinedasU_<UserName>,sothatdefaultlayoutforthatuseridwillbecreated.

ForMaintenanceInCharge,againthesamesetoftransactionsasMaintenanceManagerhasincaseofmultilevel
permits&workorderrelease.

1.PermitApproval(IPM2)
2.WorkOrderRelease(IW38)
3.InProcessOrdersdisplay(IW39)

LayoutscanbedefinedforeachtransactionasU_<UserName>.ButanyoneofthetransactionscanbesetinSet
