C. MISUSE OF MEDICINES
happens when people resort to self-medication or taking medicines to address a medical
problem without first consulting a doctor or health care professionals.
the intent was to treat an ailment or medical condition but not according to the doctors
direction.
Example of misuse of medicines:
1) Taking more than the dosage prescribed by the doctor.
2) Sharing prescribed medicines with a family member or friend.
3) Using medicines from unknown sources. (buying from street vendores and online)
4) Using expires medicines.
ABUSE OF MEDICINE
When one takes a medicine because of the pleasant or high feeling one gets especially when
taking high doses of it.
It is considered abuse when one takes a medicine for reasons other than what it is meant for.
SOME OF DANGERS THAT CAN RESULT FROM THE MISUSE AND ABUSE OF MEDICINES:
1. Drug addiction

6. Convulsions
3. Organ damage especially to the heart,
