9 or 6 or else are neither included in quran nor in sayings of Prophet (peace be upon him)
the narratives describing Ayesha's (ra) age at the time of her marriage do not fall under
the scope of Sunnah. Obviously, the narrative of Ayesha's (ra) age at the time of her
marriage is not a part of "the sayings of the Prophet, (peace be upon him)", it cannot be
termed as the Prophet's "practices" and neither can it be included in the "actions which
gained his approval". The narrative of Ayesha's age is just a narrative of a historical event.
Just because it has been reported by Bukhari and Muslim, does not change its status from
being a narrative of a historical event to a Sunnah.

With due course of time, human body has changed as have the weathers, environment etc.
Average age has decreased and a number of diseases has originated. Its only your present
world where girls get married after 17 etc (most of people even dont wait to marry). How
can you prove that girls were not married as young as 9 in that era; hundreds of years
ago?

You are pointing out the thing which was never said by prophet (peace be upon him)
himself. Cant you see that she came to his house when she was 9? If nikah was done
earlier, it doesnt mean that relationships were raised at once even before rukhsati. If she
got intercourse at 6, had she any child? Why is your ‘history’ silent here? In fact you only
read what you want.

Puberty Start
Your science says that average age of puberty start is 9. How would you prove that it was
not lesser in those days? Can you come up with demographic evidence if you are really
learnt people? Using English for communication and copying West can never make you
people knowledgeable.

Marriage at 14 is legitimate in Russia Canada etc. In Indo-Pak, such a girl is a mere

Science is itself ‘scientific’

It says that over the due course of time, there have been abrupt changes in environment
etc. People have gone lesser in height, eating habits have changed, average age has
decreased etc. Traditions also changed dramatically. If today girls get associated to
someone late, it doesnt mean that earlier they were unfit for marriage. Dont you see that
all his other wives were divorced/widows? Only this was virgin.

Marriage – not forcination

Why are you so much talkative? After all he married her and neither she nor anyone else
(including her dad Abu Bakar may God be pleased with him) objected at it. Even those
who were his most bitter enemies didnt raise the issue you have dug out. Had it been
against customs, unbelievers would have been the first to taunt him of violating their

‘Sensible’ to compare stone age with modern era

Today, you have the luxury of cars. In his days, only animal transport was available. On
current basis, does it make sense to call those Arabs poor since they didnt travel by bus
etc? Comparison is done only where there is a room for similarities along with
dissimilarities. If you compare totally opposite cultures, i fear you shall end up with a
huge bank of dissimilarities. Either prove that such an age was not conformable for
marriage in those days or find something else against Islam. If you are really a good
critic, you must also collect "dis-confirming" evidences. Then weigh 'confirming
evidences' against 'dis-confirming evidences'. Only then you shall be able to issue such a
