Look for water pressure and flow in your gate insert and cores. What is your
injection, cooling, and hold time and what hold pressure do you use? What is your
gate wall thickness? If cooling is okay it could be too high a hold pressure. High
pressure can sometimes force the molecules into crystals as well.

Hi, we need more detailed information as Ottmar said. Process parameters such
as injection, hold pressures and time and cooling time. Also gate thickness, type
of the mold, robot etc.. Some of the cavities or all of them?
If some cavities only increasing the nozzle temps of that zones would help.
Check cooling water temps and pressures. Maybe also some deposits could clog
the cooling water channels. If this is the case, you have to take care of your water
quality and cleaning such deposits is not very easy. You can talk with your mold
supplier and can add some clenaning chemicals to your chilled water system. We
built a small water circulation system in the past with a small pump, Heater and
chemical dosing. Every six month molds had been connected to this system and
we let the water circulate for one day. But chemical is very important so Please
check it with your mold supplier.

Thanks MR.Taylan Tumer for your suggestions .Yes there is no problem with water
quality and temp, pressure every thing as per recommended procedure .Temp of
water 08 c to 11c and pressure 5 to bar is running.mold have 96 cavities and
cycle time is 6.5 second is running .injection time is 0.80 sec and we try to reduce
and increase to solve problm but useless.

hi rashid, what about the outlet pressure of the cooling water. i mean after the
mold?
thickness of the gate, holding time and pressure, IV of the raw material would
help me to understand.

Hi Rashid, could be following:
- Cavity heater malfunction
- cavity temp. too low
- manifold temp. too low
- holding pressure to high
- cooling insufficient
- core cooling inadequate
- fountain in core rod damage
good luck, Peter

Increase nozzle temp firstly ,try increse slowly mold temp ,decrease hold pressure
hold time then check cooling system last may be insulator of nozzle may be
damage

Thanks MR.E mhmd Hendy
when we increased nozzle tips temp we got good results But after few days again

same problem we faced. Now i will play with hold setting then I will connect with
you thanks again.

could be due to a heat sink, material build up, flow issues or cooling of that cavity.
ls it a outside or inside cavity. looking a dimensional data across mold could give
clues. good luck

Mr rashid nothing i do . Feel free to ask
We are co operate my friend try mold temp before hold

What about the valve gate timing we are using 0.2 sec open delay this one can be
creat problem.

I think valve gate not the main cause
But u must check the gate .is the problem still?

Let's recap: crystallinity can occur due to insufficient cooling after injection or if
the melt cools too much around the valve gate. By increasing the nozzle tips you

had some success so it seems the latter is the cause. You can therefore try to
minimize the time that the valve stem is in contact with the cold mold. That
means open it earlier until you get drool, then add a little time to prevent that.
The delay open timer can be timed off different events in the injection process,
like mold about to close, or robot out. If you cannot open early enough you can try
a different timing event provided your machine has those options.

Do you have the Husky set to maintain carriage forward? What are your pullback
settings and valve gate close delay?
For a more basic explanation, crystallinity is caused when the plastic is at the
wrong temperature (~150 to 170 deg C) for too long a time. Though crystallinity
can form anywhere between the Glass Transition Temperature and the Melt
temperature it crystallizes fastest at the exothermic peak on the DSC curve.
You should be opening your valve gates at the earliest moment after mold break
to keep the valve stem from being in contact with the chilled mold. There is a
setting to open the valve gates on mold open. You may even be able to enter a
negative time to get closer to true mold open. You will need to ensure you're
decompressing the mold with adequate VGCD and pullback to avoid drool.
After that, as mentioned above, adjusting nozzle tip output to minimize the
crystallinity is important. Sometimes I have also had to adjust water flow to the
hemispherical base area on thin wall applications.

OK dears i am very thankful all of you people for your help full sharings .
Today we changed valve gate setting from mold close start to mold open end,
then we got good results and also put valve gate close delay time 0 before this
one 0.2 sec .
ok if we faced again problm than I will detrub all of you again .
THANKS ALL MEMBERS.

Mr. Rashid Ali,
I am suggest some remedies for this problem as follows,
[1] Incresed hot runner nozzle temperature.
[2] Check nozzle insulating cap.
[3] Set preform cooling water temperature at 7 degree C.
[4] Increse preform cooling time.
[5] Optimise holding pressure

check runners, ensure all heating and cooling lines are free,

By opening the valve gates earlier you reduced the contact time of the valve stem
with the cold mold and that was the problem. But by reducing the delay close
timer to 0 you actually added 0.2 s to the contact time. The 0.2 s it was set to was
to reduce the stress in the preform during screw decompression. I would leave it
at that as you might get other problems by setting it to 0.

The main reason for this problem is low nozzle temperature or damaged nozzle tip
insulators.

Exaggeration by increasing the nozzle tip temperature will possible cause a new
Quality problems.

mamdouh

by increasing the nozzle tip temperature, the material temperature is kept above
this area so that it does not reach easily in the available time the crystallisation
area.
