Projects
Walker of OZ
Our project mainly aims to explore new
designs and approaches that can mo-
tivate people to take more walks and
change their walking behaviors and life
patterns. We believe that persuasive
technologies such as video games can
be useful to reach this goal. Our game
is a “Monopoly” type game on a mobile
system, Android, using real life maps
that includes features such as level-
up system, social networking system,
information sharing system and house
decoration system, etc.
Cloud Computing in Com-
mute
The primary aim is to provide an intui-
tive, user-centric platform that allows
users to provide their responses in
real-time, without it being a time-con-
suming activity. We will also provide
an interface to retrieve the most recent
responses, the highly ranked respons-
es either as an integral part of the
application or via a web-interface, but
we will not be focusing on generating
the best recommendation out of large
archive. In the later stages, we would
like to intelligently estimate the place
of interest recently visited, if such data
was not previously feed. After the
response is received, we will also pro-
vide general statistics about the place
of interest to see how far their opinion
matches with that of other users.
Reports on TPP
The treatment planning process in-
volves faculty, students, and patients
all working simultaneously with one
another throughout an allotted time
period. Each party involved has devel-
oped their own strategy as a way of
getting through the process. Based on
this information we decided to create a
consolidated swimming lane diagram
which allowed us to model the overall
structure of the treatment planning
process as it relates to the concurrent
tasks and strategies being used within
that specific period of time.
NetEase Olympics Games
Website Design
This competition was held by one of
the Chinese biggest infotainment web
portals - NetEase - in 2008 before the
beijing Olympics Games began. The
competition participants were college
students that each team represented
their university. The rule was to create
and run a website on NetEase’s host
for a limited period of time and see
which website received top hits as well
as positive feedbacks from judges.
Our team ended up as te second place
in the noutheast zone.
