This course deals with assessments in science learning with an


emphasis on authentic assessments. Related areas that will be
covered include the nature of assessment, types and purpose of
assessment, assessment design, using assessment data and the
relationship between assessment and science learning. Students
will design assessment instruments that incorporate aspects such
as promoting learning, validity and reliability, and assessment as a
technique to improve teaching practice.
(Kursus ini adalah tentang pentaksiran dalam pembelajaran sains
dengan tumpuan kepada pentaksiran autentik. Bidang yang
berkaitan termasuklah tabii pentaksiran, jenis-jenis dan tujuan
pentaksiran, rekabentuk pentaksiran, menggunakan data
pentaksiran dan kaitan antara pentaksiran dan pembelajaran
sains. Pelajar akan merekabentuk instrument pentaksiran yang
mengambilkira aspek-aspek seperti menggalakkan pembelajaran,
kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan, dan pentaksiran sebagai satu
teknik untuk memperbaiki amalan pengajaran).
