Statement of Purpose

The student general secretary is one of the most important and coveted designation that one can
attain at IIM Kashipur if he has the right approach, the attitude to contribute to your alma mater
and attitude to bring out the best in your colleagues, to fight for them, to support them and to
reprimand as and when required.
My agenda would be:
1. To instill the feeling of pride in the students of IIM Kashipur.
2. I will maintain the integrity of all the clubs and committees present in IIM Kashipur.
3. As a responsible student of IIM Kashipur I will ensure that students engages in activities that
serve a social purpose.
4. I will always open for the new innovative suggestions related to any clubs and committees, if
student body believe that they can introduce any innovative clubs and committee, then Ill surely
support them.
4. To promote the feeling that they have the advantage of being a part IIM Kashipur in its initial
years. This legacy you will leave will be cherished by the future students to come.
4. The rigor of discipline and adherence to deadlines and protocols define the character of an
institution. I will make sure the student follow the same.
5. I will make sure that the students accept the fact that you can achieve everything that they
desire for.
6. I will promote the feeling of camaraderie, team spirit and cooperative execution among peers
and take the back of their men in times of need.
7. I will instill the trait of curiosity and not rot learning. The institution is capable of fulfilling all
the queries and ideas that come to your mind.
8. I sincerely believe that if you are capable of giving what the institute demands of you, the
institute returns back the favor in full. I will make sure that all my colleagues remember this
concept by heart.
9. Respect of seniors is a must. They have been where we are and this is be the core value
inherent in IIM Kashipur culture and I will make sure everyone adheres to it strictly.
10. I will make sure that people understand that IIM Kashipur is the place where you can learn,
innovate and inspire and build confidence among peers to stay focused towards their target
because their actions are a reflection of the IIM Kashipur culture you brought with you.

Hence, I would like to put forth my candidacy for the post of student general secretary.
Academic session 2016-17.
1)
General Secretary is primarily responsible for all the committee/club activity among the student community in
the institute
2)
The General Secretary, along with the President is responsible for fair use of funds that are granted by the
Institute, received as sponsorship from external bodies or collected from the students of
the

Institute

3)
He/She has to ensure that all Clubs and Committees are following their activity plan submitted at the start of
every
term
of
junior
batch.

4)
He/She has to ensure that fair process is followed in the preparation of the budget and spending.

5)
Being elected by the whole of the student body, he is obliged to
assist the President and the Student Council to resolve any student issues, irrespective of the nature of the
activity.

6)
He/She acts as a signatory for Student activities in the absence of the Presiden
