Examination Scheduling” “undertaken by us as part of our B.TECH
Curriculum.

1 Why is the particular topic chosen?
Exam scheduler is for managing the schedule for conducting the
exams which will be conducted online. The exam will be conducted at
different venues, at different time and different places. It also keeps record
of the students being registered for exam.

2 STATEMENT ABOUT THE PROJECT

Each student will register separately with unique ID.

Manage all the account details of student such as user id, password, phone
numbers, and address.

1No_of_seats: each center will have limited no of computers. Hence at a

particular date and time, a limited no. of candidate can give exam.
Hence no_of_candidate determines this limit.

2Center code: each center is given a particular code which uniquely

distinguishes two different centers with same name.
 3City code: each city is given a particular code which uniquely
distinguishes two different cities with same name.

4Personal details: Details of customer such as username, company,

phone number, address, website, e-mail address etc.

Contact details: Details of contact persons associated with the student

3 Objective and scope of the project

The existing system required physical presence of the

employees as well as the user in an organization to interact with
each other and solve their problems. This procedure required a lot
of manual paper work and many employees were deputed to have
single transaction completed . Hence it was a difficult
procedure to follow. Since this procedure required a lot of manual
labor so the task was restricted to be held with extreme accuracy,
so a large amount of employee time was wasted.

4 Methodology

The spiral method is used in the development of this project. This project
has to pass through following phases:
1Understanding and identifying the problems.
2Defining the problem with the help of preliminary investigation.
3Outline the solution with the help of system analysis.
4Explore the feasibility of possible solution in terms of time, connectivity
 and tools requirement of the system.
2Coding of the system.
3Testing of the system.
4Implementation of the system.

5 Project Overview
1This project develops software for “Merit Scholar” conducts
Certification exam for the application developers.

2The Exams are conducted at various cities at different centers on

different dates at particular time.

3Only few members are allowed to write the exam at particular

time on a date at any center in a city.
