To encourage those individuals who do not regularly give back to our community to donate time
and money, with particular emphasis on getting those in their 20s and 30s to become
philanthropists;
2. To educate El Paso and Teller County residents about the vital work undertaken by relatively small,
innovative nonprofits operating in and for our community;
3. To provide a Pikes Peak region-centric philanthropic platform that makes giving back to our
community extremely easy, enjoyable and effective;
4. To increase the fundraising and organizational capacity as well as the long-term viability and
visibility of participating nonprofits.
Requirements of Give
Give! is first a foremost a platform for local organizations. What you get out of the campaign is a direct
reflection of what you put into it.
For your organization to be successful, you will need to actively participate. It is up to your organization to
utilize the media support, trainings, matching grants and friendly competitions to which Give! provides
access.
We will train your designated liaisons on how best to mobilize your nonprofit to take advantage of the
platform that Give! provides. They will need to serve as your organization's point people for all things Give!,
including but not limited to checking and responding to emails, participating in at least four mandatory
trainings and, in turn, communicating pertinent information to your entire organization including your board,
My organization will need to designate at least two (2) liaisons (staff, board or volunteers),
each of whom can commit at least 10 hours monthly from June - December 2016.
If selected, my organization must sign and return a contract and participation fee ($600
for first-time participants; $1000 for returning participants) no later than June 15, 2016.
<<Your organization must serve the people of the Pikes Peak region.>>
You will also receive email confirmation of your submission, as well as a summary of your responses.
Applicant Registration
We will use the email address you enter to notify you of your application status by June 1, 2016.

differentiates you from other organizations providing similar services or what makes your approach especially effective or unique.

Please focus on volunteer and in-kind needs that will be valid as of Nov. 1, 2016. Be as specific as possible, e.g. a treasurer for our

Category Preference
Every Give! participating organization is placed into a category.
The Give! Campaign is a joint project of the Colorado Springs Independent and the Pikes Peak Community Foundation (PPCF).
Categories serve a number of purposes for both participants and donors. For participants, categories can
provide a smaller pool of potential nonprofit collaborators as well as friendly competitors for campaignwide challenges. For donors, categories make the number of participants more digestible and help them
discover new-to-them organizations generating community efforts that they love.
Last year, we had 11 categories, but categories for Give! 2016 have not yet been finalized. You can help us
by indicating which three of the following would best reflect the focus of your organization and ranking
them in order of preference.
Final discretion for category placement rests with the Give! team in order to best fit the needs of all
participants. Your final placement will be determined by factors that include adhering to marketing strategy,
creating even distribution and ensuring a level playing field for category-specific competitions. That said,
your preferences are the most heavily weighted factor in determining your organization's category.
For examples of how category designations are used, take a look at the 2015 Give! Guide: goo.gl/QYnGmk

What will you do differently compared to your prior Give! Campaign(s)?
In order to fulfill our mission of providing organizational support and resources to enthusiastic, smaller nonprofits that may need help
gaining their footing in the community, Give! asks each returning participant to improve upon their success from one year to the next.
While this can mean setting and attaining new fundraising goals, it can also mean attracting new donors and volunteers, finding new
ways to mentor or collaborate with other participants, improving board members' participation, etc. 1000 characters (~250 words)
max.
