Youth for Seva in association with SEWA Bharati marks the

Mobile Science Van
Initiative

success of the Jignyasa- Mobile science van project, sponsored by

Verizon India. As this initiative aims for the skill development and
imparting of practical knowledge to the students hailing from the
under resourced backgrounds, YFS has played a genuine part in
allocating its donor funds adeptly. YFS has also witnessed a
remarkable interest in many students to conduct their own science
experiments, which in turn has significantly effect on their
academics.
Some students have stated that, due to this innovative science
project, which is being provided to them by a dedicated mentor,
they started becoming more enthusiastic in learning science. Also it
has helped them bag a few prizes for the science-experiments
competition, at the annual Chiguru fest.

Highlights
42 govt. schools have been covered in 2015-2016 academic
year, where science practicals have been conducted
Approx. 9,000 students were benefitted through this
initiative (7th - 10th grade students in all schools)
A well-trained technician runs this van to the govt.schools, the
van is equipped with necessary apparatus and science models.
