OBJECTIVE
To ensure that the risk associated with Hepatitis B infection is monitored and
appropriate controls are in place so as to prevent transmission and eliminate
spread of the disease.
2.0
SCOPE
This procedure applies to all employees of SYNERQUEST in all its offices and
operational areas.

REFERENCE
3.1
Department Advisory No. 05 series of 2010 (Guidelines for the
Implementation of a Workplace Policy and Program on Hepatitis B)

Cases of Hepatitis B shall be covered by policy and limitations under
the Companys Medical and Dental Services Plan.
4.6
SYNERQUEST shall regard an Hepatitis B infected employee as any
other employee found to be suffering from any other serious
illness/condition, specifically in terms of statutory and Company benefits,
compensation and other available Company services.
4.7
SYNERQUEST shall respond to the changing health status of the
employee by making reasonable accommodation in the workplace for those
infected with Hepatitis B, giving due consideration at all times to the health
and safety of his co-employees.
4.8
SYNERQUEST recognizes the sensitive issues that surround
Hepatitis B and undertakes to handle matters in a discreet and private
manner. Where Hepatitis B infected employee has revealed his/her status to
management, the Company will keep the identity of such person confidential.
