Dear Hiring Manager,
It is with great pleasure that I am seeking to secure an elementary teaching
position within The Dallas Independent School District. Through my strong
work ethic, educational experiences, and social skills, I feel I would be a
quality candidate to join your team.
Enclosed is my resume, which indicates I will be graduating in May 2016 with
a Bachelor of Science in Education with an endorsement in Reading. I am
currently student teaching and I am finding it to be so rewarding and
beneficial to my future teaching profession.
Through my student teaching experience, I created and enforced a behavior
reward system to ensure that the students who are consistently making good
choices get recognized for their behavior, and students who arent, are being
treated fairly for their actions. I have also taken advantage of my time in the
classroom by teaching as soon as possible because I feel I learn best from
doing rather than observing. I also had the opportunity to sit on different
committees during my student teaching experience, such as PBIS (Positive
Behavior Interventions and Supports) and Technology Support.
Please contact me at your convenience so that we might arrange a meeting
to discuss how my qualifications would best meet the needs of your
students. Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Sincerely,

Meghann Cooper
