Overall programme (v.1.11.2)

Overall framework
The ASEAN-EU Science, Technology and Innovation Days (STI Days) are initiated by
SEA-EU-NET as a bi-regional forum for cooperation activities between Europe and
Southeast Asia. The STI Days are open to all actors and stakeholders in the fields of
research, development and innovation; thus, giving them the opportunity to build
their network, discuss, and engage in exchange on topics of common interest and explore perspectives for
new cooperation.

NASATI/Vietnam is the main organiser, the event is organised within the framework of the EU
Commission FP7 funded project SEA-EU-NET (https://www.sea-eu.net)
Location of STI Days: Melia Hotel, Hanoi, Vietnam
A new philosophy will be behind the STI Days for 2016strong focus on academic/industry
collaboration
Programme and Content
The event will last 2 days, and will include the following sessions

Plenary sessions on ASEAN-EU STI cooperation, with keynote speeches by official representatives
and high-level experts;
An innovation roundtable featuring experts discussing key success factors for industry-academia
collaboration
A dozen scientific workshops, focusing on key societal challenges of common interest to both
regions
An Innovation exhibition aiming to showcase successful SEA-EU STI cooperation
Information and training sessions for young researchers on funding and mobility opportunities;
A paper/poster competition open to young scientists;
Field trips to major research and innovation organisations
