Project Description:
The objective of the application is to extract data, securely transmit it to a data Warehouse,
standardize the content, and generate reports. The project includes around 10-12 data sources
whose data is merged together and put into a single database using various business logics to
develop a complex cube with various perspectives and measure groups. It also involves
complete understanding of their business and sales cycle model
Responsibilities:
Understanding and Profiling the Client Database, and documented
requirement specifications.
Extract, Transform and Load source data into respective target
tables to build the required data marts.
Development of packages according to the ETL specifications for the staging
area & Warehouse data loading using SQL Server Integration Services.
Used transformations like Derived Column, Conditional Split, Multicast, Union
All, Lookups, sort and Execute SQL Task to load data into Data Warehouse.
Creating variables and expressions in packages.
Creating Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD).
Development of reports using different SSRS Functionalities like Sort
prompts, and Cascading Parameters, Multi Value Parameters etc.
Responsible for developing different types of SSRS reports i.e. drilldown
reports, sub reports, reports with groupings etc.
Carried out Scheduling of reports and Bursting of reports to the end users.
Involved in the BI testing, by writing SQL statement on the data ware house
generated.
