SYNOPSIS

Banking Management System

1. Introduction:
Banking management system is a software application provided as a tool to the Bank. In this
software you can keep record for daily banking transaction such as accounts information,
deposits and withdrawal.

2. Problem statement:
Previously the banks were not computerized so all the work was done manually. People had
to wait for a long time for their transactions. It took long time to open an account. Accounts
were maintained in a register. In order to do a single transaction, one had to pass through
many counters for verification of signatures etc. Because the work was done manually, there
was very little output and the files were piled up. People felt harassed and avoided to deal
through banks.
Now due to this computerized system retrieval of data and previous records will become
simpler. People dont have to go to different counters for their work as all the work is now
done at one place only with the help of the computers. Using computers will make the storage
of data easy and for a longer period of time.

3. Objective:

4. Scope:
Scope of this project is desktop application

To be able to validate customers digital signatures.

To be able to update the system after transactions in a synchronized manner.

5. Planning of work
5.1 Proposed system
In the proposed system, we assume that each member will be having a bank account which
will be used for all the banking related transactions like deposits, withdrawal and maintaining
the account. The account holder can anytime access its account and can do any type of
transaction. While the administrator will keep a check on all the accounts.

5.2 Module description

1. User module
In this module user can avail banking facilities such as:

Open new account: User can apply for a new account.

Transactions: User can use its existing account for depositing or withdrawing of
money.

2. Administrator module
This is the main module in the proposed project. The administrator can read and write
information about any user. The administrator can also update, create and delete the record of
account as per requirement and implementation plans. The following are the sub module in
the administrator module.

See accounts: Allow the administrator to view all the accounting transactions taking

place in an account.
List of accounts: Allow administrator to view all the accounts present in the

database.
Edit accounts: Here administrator can edit accounts on request of the users

6. Hardware requirement

Hard disks: 40GB

RAM: 512 MB

7. Software requirement

Turbo C3
Windows XP or 7

8. Summary
Banking management system will allow the users to create an account and help themselves
with money related transactions. It will help bank managers to easily maintain records of
accounts and the implementation of the system in the organization will considerably reduce
data entry, time and also provide readily calculated reports.
