Show students a 5 minutes video about two young people who greets each other by using basic expressions: Hi, Im.. Hello my names
Good bye! See you later!
Greet some students and ask them to replay the greeting by using the previous expressions.
Ask students to form group works according to the similar flag-shape card. Each student will greet and say hello to each member of the
group.

Ask students to listen to 7-minute recording about different people who greets others, asks how they are and say good bye to them.
Give students the worksheet and ask them to answer the part Say Hello and Good Bye points A and B.
Read aloud students the Jos dialogue part of the Meeting Somebody New section 2 point A of the work sheet and ask students to take
Marys dialogue part and say it aloud.
Ask Students to do the point B section of the worksheet (matching exercise)
Ask students to relate number cards which are stuck on the board with the corresponding lettered-numbers cards the teacher has already
given to them.
Ask students to pronounce all numbers from 1 to 20. Ask students to listen to the way teacher pronounces the numbers. Ask students to
follow teachers pronunciation.
Ask students to answer the listen part of the worksheet, point number 3.
Ask students to listen to the teacher short intervention: Hi, Im Maria, How old am I? Im twenty one years old, oh not Im twenty two, Im ok,
see you later. Ask some students: How old are you?
Ask students to work in pairs and do the same teachers intervention by asking each other.

Ask student to look the flag-shaped cards that are stuck on the board. While pointing the Colombian flag -shaped card the teacher asks
herself where am I from. And answer: Im from Colombia. Ask students where theyre from by using the same pattern?
While pointing the French flag -shaped card, the teacher asks herself: where am I from. And answer: Im from France, not Im not from
France. Im from Colombia. Ask students to interact with the teacher in the same way.
