task sheet per pupil

Task Procedures:
1. Pupils listen to a text/recording of the interview between Inspector Hashim with
Mr. and Mrs. Ramesh.
2. Teacher carries out a Q-A drills on the text to test understanding:
e.g. Who interviewed Mr. and Mrs. Ramesh ?
What is the the inspectors name ?
What are missing from the house ?
While doing this, the teacher can also flash the MR. RAMESHS HOUSE.ppt to help
the pupils remember.
3.

Teacher distributes the Listen and Circle task sheet to each pupil.

4.

Teacher reads / plays the recording again.

5. Pupils cirle the missing items as they listen.


6. Pupils cross-check their task with their peers.

Task Procedures:
1. Get pupils to gather around 1 table group.
2. Teacher demonstrates the task:
a. Pupils listen to a text/recording of the interview between Inspector Hashim
with Mr. and Mrs. Ramesh.
b. In groups, pupils are to group the things missing in the different parts of the
house.
e.g. Living room television set; painting; computer; printer
c.

Ask pupils to do the same to the other parts of the house.

3.

Distribute the picture cards and the labels of parts of the house.

4.

The pupils carry out the task in groups.

5.

The first group to group the things under the correct categories is the winner.
