Chairman's Message
In recent years, the
importance of infrastructure
for the sustained economic
development and
improvement of living
standards of the population
has well been recognized. Yet,
millions of people across the
rural demography lack access
Raj Mallela
to roads, transport, electricity,
safe drinking water, proper
sanitation, and communication facilities.
Inadequate and inefcient infrastructure not only
increases cost of living but also prevents economies
from realizing their full potential.
The annual growth rate of most developing
economies, which was in the range of 6 to 9 percent
in the last decade, has declined sharply in recent
years. To continue the sustained growth, most
notably in developing economies, there is a dire
need to introduce and accelerate new initiatives
and strategies in infrastructure management.
As the Chairman of the Group of Companies, I
believe in establishing a policy framework to
rigorously evaluate the sustainability of the
infrastructure across planning, design,
construction, and operation and maintenance to
optimise the already constrained resources by
reducing waste, and costs. Such a move will benet
stakeholders across the spectrum right from asset
owners to infrastructure development and
management companies, and ultimately asset
users.
We have therefore designed and developed our
services and solutions that are proven to be
innovative, sustainable, and value for money. With
a proven track record of success in complex and
difcult environments, our group provides
expertise in planning, design, and management to
provide reliable and sustainable solutions that full
the unique needs of each country and scale along
with its growth needs.
The world is undergoing a major transition with a
majority population migrating to urban areas.
Rapid urbanisation has led to increased congestion
on roads, increased demand for water, sewerage,
sanitation, education and health infrastructure thus
increased demand for investment. Indian cities,

Asset Management
Our discipline of managing infrastructure assets that underpin an
economy, such as roads, water supply, wastewater, stormwater, hydrology
and ood management, power supply, recreational and other assets. In the
past, these assets have typically been owned and managed by local or
central government. With the growing trend of private investment in the
physical infrastructure sector the thrust is not only placed on increased
asset creation but also on overall management throughout its life cycle. We
take pride for offering full range of asset management services.

Urban Infrastructure
Our urban sector division has strong domain expertise in urban planning and development, GIS applications,
preparation of city development plans, real estate and housing development, detailed project report
preparation, PPP, policy and institutional design for providing efcient urban services and managing the public
utilities, and design and implementation of state-wide reforms. We also have expertise in formulating sector
policies, engage in sector restructuring, structure projects based on the public-private partnership (PPP)
model, and plan infrastructure development. Our urban experts work closely with the Federal Government,
State Governments and multilateral funding agencies in transforming the reform process to make it
transparent, objective, and open to private sector participation.

GIS Services
Our GIS division is fast growing in the discipline of
Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and IT Application
Development and Services. It is a process driven division with
well-dened processes and software delivery
methodologies. The division has well organised functional
teams with distinct process areas of business analysis,
software development, design, testing, software support,
quality assurance, project management and portfolio
management.
We have extensive experience and domain expertise in
designing, developing, conguring, and integrating
business solutions for the public sector and local
governments. We build complex business systems that are
web-enabled, multi-tiered and enterprise business systems
that can integrate into the existing IT infrastructure. With
our unparalleled experience and expertise in GIS, our range
of services and solutions include spatial integration of
application design and development, enterprise
applications, IT systems architecture, support services,
database services, business intelligence and data
warehousing, among others.
Power Sector
To accelerate socio economic development of
rural areas and pursue the larger objective of
sustainable growth, reducing AT and C losses in
Power Distribution and Transmission is the key.
With this objective in mind, SATRA offers the
best technical services in this vertical. Our team,
consisting of the industry experts and GIS
professionals offers world class solutions to the

OUR SOLUTIONS
ROMDAS System has been developed to be one of the most cost effective and
versatile data collection systems available for road asset management. ROMDAS is
an innovative and completely portable modular system for collecting data on roads,
pavements and trafc condition that is being used in more than 70 different
countries.

HIMS Asset Management System (HIMS) is a powerful and exible database
management and analytical system designed to meet the needs of asset owners,
asset managers and their consultants. HIMS is capable of storing and analyzing data
on any type of asset with a particular emphasis on linearly referenced assets such as
pavement, structures, 3Water (water, waste water and storm water), railways,
power distribution lines and etc. HIMS was developed based on the zero coding by
the end user principle. HIMS offers most of its functionality to be congured by the
end users more than any other Commercially Off the Shelf (COTS) systems of similar
kind available in the market.

Project Management System (PROMAN) is an off the shelf web based integrated
Project / Contract management and monitoring and evaluation system. It is designed
and developed on concept of multi tiered distributed architecture in order to provide
comprehensive, accurate and up-to-date Project/ contract management information
for different target audiences throughout the organisation. PROMAN is a generic
system and can be a turn key solution for many organizations with minimal
conguration efforts. It enables the authorities to manage the contracts for Civil
Works, Goods and Consultancy Services right from the inception (planning) to close
out.

Network Optimised Decision Management (NODEM) system is designed for weighing
potential alternatives and making optimised decisions. NODEM is an open ended
and standalone system that can be integrated with any other asset management
systems such as RAMM, HANSEN, Conrm, NZdTIMS, HDM-4 and etc. The system
can be congured to compare between different Levels of Service, so that its outputs
can be discussed with community in making decisions as part of the LTCCP
consultation. NODEM is a non-asset specic software which can be applied to all
types of infrastructure assets. NODEM can be used for the following:
