GLEN WHRITENOUR GOES BACK TO BACK IN
WOODHULL RACEWAY 360 LM THRILLER.
Remainder of show lost to Mother Nature.
 
With rain in the forecast it was full speed ahead last Saturday night
at the Woodhull Raceway as the biggest race of the night was an
attempt to get the show into the record books.  With all the
qualifying heat events run off at a record pace the NAPA 360 Late
Model feature was called to the line with sprinkles starting to fall on
the speedway. With 20 of the best 360 LM drivers in the region
taking the opening green flag it was Jeremy Wonderling setting the
early pace.  Steve Watson would keep Wonderling within striking
distance as Brian Knowles and Glen Whritenour moved towards
the front of the field. With only a few quick cautions for minor
spins to slow the event it was Wonderling setting a blistering pace
as Knowles and Whritenour would challenge the race leader with
the laps winding down. One final yellow on lap 24 for a front
straight tangle between Greg Galligan and Steve Hartman Jr. would
set up a green/checkered finish and what an exciting one lap shoot
out it would turn out to be as Brian Knowles put a beautiful inside
move on race leader Glen Whritenour with Wonderling close
behind. As the three entered the final set of turns Knowles would
inch ahead of Whritenour on the inside, but Glen had the
momentum on the rim and held on for a three foot victory over
Knowles with Wonderling one car length back. For the second
consecutive week it was late race heroics that would find Glen
Whritenour hitting pay dirt on the high banked one third of a mile
clay oval in what many fans are calling some of the best racing in
years at the historic Steuben County oval. Steve Watson, the 2009
360 LM Rookie of the Year would hold on for fourth at the finish
followed by Dan Gardner who put on a steady drive to round out
the top five.   Six thru ten were John Waters, Tony Foth, Mick
Seeley, Jay McConnell and Bryce Davis.
 Heat wins went to Brian Knowles and Greg Galligan.
 
With the rain intensifying the Crate Sportsman were summoned to
the track along with several packer vehicles to try and keep the
surface raceable, however it was not meant to be and after an hour
of trying track owner, Ted White was forced to throw in the towel.

2012 Reassessment Project
The Town and Village of Canisteo project is now
underway. The Assessor, Laura Smalt, or her data
collectors will soon visit all property owners in the town.
During the visit, all data necessary for valuation will be
collected, such as year built, number of baths, type of
heating, and recent sales information. The exterior of
your home will be measured, along with any other
buildings on the property.
All data collectors will carry a picture identification. You
will be asked for permission to inspect the interior of your
home and any other buildings on your property. Although
you are not required to allow the Data Collector inside
your home, your cooperation is extremely important to
the overall success of this project.
