Over the last few years,

autokitchen has grown
to become one of the
most popular programs
in its field and is fast
becoming an essential
tool for kitchen design.
It quickly enables you to design and
communicate your ideas by generating traditional plans and elevations as
well as 3D views and perspectives.
autokitchen is built upon AutoCAD
technology (AutoCAD 2000i OEM),
allowing users to run it as a single
standalone program but maintaining
all the file compatibility with AutoCAD
based drawing files.
By simply working across the menus
you will end up with a finished kitchen
plan. Start by placing the walls, doors
and windows. Then move on to place
units quickly and easily from an on
screen catalogue. Add worktops and
insert mouldings. Place lights and
accessories and finally create the
views you want.
Is it easy to use ?
The main objective in the development
of the new version of autokitchen has
been to create a program that is easy
to use, especially for those clients that
have little experience in computers.
autokitchen 2000i has clearly marked
icons to gain access to the commands
and it includes on line help which the

the program. This includes a tutorial
where we show step by step guidelines
how to create a design. A new user
can quickly learn how to use the
majority of the tools whilst creating
their first design.
autokitchen 2000i includes many
tools to make quick and easy changes
to the kitchen design. i.e. moving units,
modifying the intensity of lights, changing doors and handle models, rotating
the handles 90, changing materials of
different elements in our design and
visualising the changes instantly.

Final presentation quality is

the most important aspect of
any design software and the
new LT version provides a
perfect start for new and
occasional users.
We have been keen to ensure that the
many new features included in this
version are really useful to the user. In
many cases, one new command
removes the need for the three or four
previously required. This saves on
learning time and helps you get up to
speed as quickly as possible. Users
with full AutoCAD will find the new
software particlularly flexible.

The latest software now comes in
two versions with autokitchen
2000i including all the features
of the basic autokitchen LT . To
show the difference between
ak2000i standard and ak2000i LT
you will find 2000i written in red
where the features will only apply
to the ak2000i version.

Architecture.
Design in a plan view and
automatically generate the 3D
with all the materials applied.
Simultaneous views in up to 4
windows with plans, elevations
and perspectives in any of these
views.
Select the wall tiling and floor
materials from the inbuilt library.

Unit Insertion
2000i Creation of any type of
carcasses, worktops and shelves
with any dimension or shape.
2000i Insertion of parametric
standard units without any
measure limitations. (width,
height, depth and elevation)
2000i All the unit dimensions are
parametric and can be changed at
any time. (Bespoke and special
dimension units)
2000i The user can select the door
or drawer combination of the unit
before inserting it. It can also be
inserted without doors allowing
the user to insert them later
manually.
All the units are available in a
universal standard library
grouped in base unit, wall unit,
tall units and dressers with all the

Automatic insertion of units

controlling the collision with other
units or walls. In case of collision it
can adjust the width of the units
automatically to fit the available

Automatic insertion of lights: lamps,
spots, etc. You can control of
intensity of lights one by one or all
at once.
2000i Allows the creation of
manufacturers catalogues where
you can insert the desired unit
without knowing the codes. The unit
can be recognised in a preview.

2000i You can create units with any

shapes (round, hexagonal) and
save them in the library.

program can automatically
change the door and handle

and notes for fitters.

2000i The user can create new
materials or duplicate any that
already exist to enable the user
to create custom materials.

Editing the Design

Any of the inserted units can be
changed at any time for another
type.
Any element of the kitchen can
be changed or edited (Doors,
handles, etc.).
The door and handle model can
be changed automatically. There
is a filter to select which kind of
element will be affected by the
change: Normal door, glass door,
drawers, pan drawers, side
panels, filler, shelves, etc.

Estimate
2000i Direct import from AK
2000i. Estimate 2000 will import
units, accessories (shelves,
fillers, side panels...), mouldings
and appliances. Automatic
creation of the estimate including
the information of units with
special dimensions, cost and
profit. Different levels of detail
can be generated depending on
what the user wants to show.

autokitchen LT 2000i
The main limitations when compared
to autokitchen 2000i are:
There is one only universal library
available which cannot be
customised. The dimensions and
the codes are fixed. The
dimensions of the units can only
be modified at the time of
insertion.
It has no free shape design tools
for the creation of worktops or
units of various shapes.

All these materials can be applied

on units, doors, worktops, ...
There are 3 quality levels for the
rendering, fast, medium, high.
2000i Supports Optimum mode
and Rendering with shadows and
reflection.
There are 7 lamp models that can
be inserted automatically with
their own light. (Fluorescent
lamp, spot fitted lights etc.)
2000i Generates photo-realistic
images of high quality with no
limit in resolution to visualise
them on the screen or save them
as JPG or BMP for printing.
2000i Allows you to combine
multiple different materials for
doors, drawers, carcasses,
shelves, etc...
2000i In all materials the user can
modify the colour, reflection,
roughness, transparency, etc.
2000i Can export files to Autodesk
3D Studio software with the
materials already applied.

It is not possible to create new

door combinations for the units.
The only moulding insertion
option available is the automatic
one on just the units inserted.
Includes 7 door models and
handle models.
The Material Library cannot be
extended by the user.
There is an option to control the
intensity of the light and its
shadows, but has no enhanced
tools to control the colour of the
lights, Sun angle orientation,
light focus angle, ambient light...
The Estimate module does not
ship with autokitchen LT.
However, autokitchen LT is a great
program if you want to get started in
3D kitchen design and produce
professional looking presentations to
put in front of your clients. With
such a low price, can you afford not
to try it?
