4.2.3.2 Deployment
P2MP Bridging Mode enables you to connect several wired Ethernet LANs
through wireless AP without using wired cables, this function can be
deployed in the environments where wireless communication is required but
it is not convenient to lay out cables in the environment. Note: The root AP
must be set as P2MP mode, other remote APs (at most 6 units) must be set
as P2P mode.

Please click “Finish” after configuration.
4.2.4.2 Deployment
Wireless Repeater Mode of TWL5401A Multi-layer AP: You are able to
realize the connectivity among the devices through setting the MCA address.
When the distance of two wireless networks exceeds the max range
allowed by the wireless network, or when there is big or high building which
affects the wireless connection between the wireless networks, you could
use wireless repeater solution to expand your wireless networks. The
Topology of WDS AP Repeater is as follows:
Figure17
Under this mode, you could connect the LAN port of TWL5401A to the NIC,
and then this TWL5401A could work as a wireless NIC.
Note: When you use this function, you should connect your TWL5401A
to the wired NIC or connect it to the wireless network. Because under this
mode, TWL5401A works as a wireless NIC, please set the IP

address of TWL5401A in the same network segment as your network.
Please click “Mode Setting”—“Client” and you would enter into the following
interface.

In some circumstance, due to the complex work of Laying out cables,
we are not able to locate wireless modem and wireless router in the
place that we want, By using the wireless client function of TWL5401A,
we can solve this problem. TWL5401A can work as a wireless NIC to
connect to wireless AP or wireless router. This working

4.3 Access Filter
Click “Ratio Setting”, “Access filter”, you could see the following figure in
your screen:
Figure 20
In order to better manage the computers in the LAN, you can use MAC
address control to manage the computer’s access to the wireless network.
z Filter mode: You can select “Close”, “Allow” or “Forbid” here.
“Close” is to close this filter mode function; “Forbid” is to forbid
the computers with the MAC addresses listed in the table from
having access to the wireless network. “Allow” is to allow the
computers with the MAC addresses listed in the table to have
20
54Mbps Wireless Long Range Wireless AP
access to the wireless network.
z MAC Address: fill in the MAC addresses of the computer that
you want to filter manually please click “Add” after filling the
address.
z By Scanning the MAC list to add MAC address which you
require to filter: if you want to forbid any users in the scanning
list, please select it in the list and click “Add”; And if you want to
delete it from the list, you could select it and click “Delete” to
remove it form the list.
z By clicking “Refresh” you are able to check the real-time MAC
filtering status.
Note: Maximum 32 MAC Address filtering is supported.
