INNOVATIVE MODEL
12 MONTH MBA
4. Work-Applied Learning
AIB strongly believes that to produce effective business
graduates, business programmes must blend theory and action.
Our learning methods are soundly based on Work-Applied
Learning (WAL), a practice which ensures each student
consciously applies their knowledge and skills to the workplace.
This is assessed through formal coursework, including
assessments that measure students learning from both their
application and reflection of the theory.
5. Practical Assessment
AIBs emphasis on Work-Applied Learning is reflected in the
unique assessments offered throughout the MBA programme:
2. Monthly Subjects
The 12 Month MBA is 12 subjects delivered over 12 months.
AIB is the only institution in Australia that uses the Monthly
Learning Model which allows students to start, master, and
complete a subject within a month while working full-time.
This learning model is superior to the semestral or trimestral
approach adopted by most traditional MBA programmes as
it allows working adults to balance personal and professional
commitments, while focusing on just one subject at a time.
3. Accelerated Learning
The AIB MBA is fully accredited to be delivered in just 12
months while a student works full-time. While the content is of
the same standard to other accredited MBA programmes, the
intensive structure of the course forgoes term and semester
breaks, which in traditional MBA models constitutes a
substantial amount of time during the course.
