1. Nowadays, western culture has a great impact to our own culture.

Do you think
Filipino culture is worth to be proud of?
The Filipino culture is a sign of our strength. Even though Western influence
was mainly due to colonization, we were able to use this influence to our advantage
in a positive way. Our diverse culture and influences are exactly the reasons why
Filipinos are appreciated as artists and professionals all over the world. I amand I
will always be proud of the Filipino culture. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!

2. A social media is now a powerful tool of communication, can you tell us your
thoughts about internet censorship?
The Magna Carta for Philippine Internet Freedom is an internet law bill that
upholds and defends our right and freedom of expression and aims to protect us
from cyber criminals. I believe that we should be alert and fight censorship abuse
but at the same time we must also be very careful with what we do on the net and
with what we say in social media because freedom of expression is not absolute. It
has responsibilities that come with it.

3. In our society, we cannot deny that the usage of illegal drugs is very rampant.
What will you do to eradicate this forbidden act?
I believe that proper information is the first important step in fighting this
crime and creating awareness about the bad effects of drug abuse is a very
powerful tool. This is the reason why I participate in activities such as educational
campaigns through symposia, seminars, school assemblies, and even social media
campaigns against illegal drugs because I want my fellow youths to KNOW that drug
abuse is not cool and it must be stopped once and for all.

4. Catastrophic phenomenon like global warming is an overdue issue. What will you
do to reverse the effects of Global Warming?
I am very conscious about conserving electricity. It is does not only reduce
our bill, it also help reduce heat emission. Plus, I make sure to take part in school
and community activities such as barangay cleaning drives and tree planting. I also
try to reduce waste and dispose of it properly because I believe if every Filipino will
practice the 4 Rs - reduce, re-use, recycle, and recover - our country would
definitely be a better place.

5. In the year 2000 UNESCO aims to meet the learning needs of all children, youth
and adults by 2015. EFA (Education for all) goal of 2015 is to eradicate the illiterate

through giving the equality and accessible education, do you think EFA ha achieve
its goals today?
Of the 164 countries that pledged to meet overall learning needs, only 55
countries passed the 15-year EFA goals. And by its own admission through a report
filed to UNESCO, the Philippine government failed to meet these goals. But I believe
we can still overcome this problem - IF we choose leaders who will REALLY act on
improving our educational system, and not those who just give lip service. So please
in the coming elections, choose wisely and do not sell your votes.

6. Living in a democratic country, given us freedom to do what we want. You've

been doing great things the past month. What's the best among all of them?
If we are just talking about achievements in the past month, then the best
achievement I have so far is being in this competition. Beauty pageants may look
glamorous and fun but what most people dont realise is the hard work that comes
with it. I am sure that the pageant organizers and my fellow contestants will agree
with me when I say that winning the crown will definitely complete this achievement
but being here, on the finals night, is accomplishment enough because it takes
tremendous grit and determination to join beauty pageants.

7. The success of a community depends on its leader. Presidential election is fast

approaching. What will be your advice to the next president of our republic?
If given the chance to share my piece of mind to the next President of the
Philippines, my advice would be to please fulfil all the promises you gave while you
were still campaigning. The Filipino people is suffering and we are so tired of selfserving leaders. Please make your actions reflect your words so that the nation will
be peaceful and progressive, once and for all.

8. One of the most controversial issue in the Philippines nowadays is the legalization
of same sex marriage given the fact that we are a catholic or religious country, what
is your stand about it?
We are all citizens of this country and the government should make sure that
the freedom and rights of EVERY citizen is upheld and protected without bias
against tribe, gender, disability, or any other type of discrimination. In my opinion,
we should all have the freedom and the right to choose who we marry and the
government has the responsibility to recognize, uphold, and protect this right. In the
end, let God be the judge.

9. The recent victory of the Philippine representatives in an international beauty

pageant gives all the Filipino a sense of honored. What do you think the advantage
of joining the kind of competition?
In my opinion, the advantage of joining competitions such as this is
empowerment because when you join beauty pageants you put yourself in a
position to influence people.
10. They said that peace is elusive specially in a culturally diverse community like in
mindanao. Do you think the BBL (Bangsamoro Basic Law) is the answer for this?
Peace is NOT elusive for a culturally diverse community like Mindanao. In fact,
Mindanao is GENERALLY peaceful. The real problem is that our laws are not
implemented because the culture of corruption is widespread. I believe BBL is NOT
the answer to the political and security issues in Mindanao. What we actually need
are leaders who are not afraid to uphold and implement the law. We need leaders
who will STOP the culture of corruption because our country, especially Mindanao,
has suffered enough.
