PLASTIC BLOWERS

The Plastic Centrifugal Blowers are


designed to provide efficient,
economical & maintenance free service
in the corrosive ventilating & processing application. The
selection and design of Blowers for corrosive application is
a very specialized because of corrosive nature of air stream
and mechanical design of impellers in varieties of plastic
materials like - PP, PVC, FRP etc.

We are working with Blowers for corrosive application


including ventilation requirements since 1983. During this
span, we have acquired considerable know-how and

experience in Blower technology.

WHY PP / FRP BLOWERS

Coated M.S + FRP / PP / Rubber lining blowers suffers


from cracks or pinholes the coating is usually thin, it
subjects to erosion at leading edges of blades, hence
general failure sets in. The result ? Corrosion, Reduced life,
Concern of plant safety. Legal authorities walk in. And you
begin with whole lot of problems to solve thereafter. With
invention of plastics like polypropylene (PP), FRP (fiber
glass reinforced plastics) a new order is put in Blower
technology. Corrosion resistant property along with ease in
fabrication for intricate shape, make PP / FRP Blowers very
useful in corrosive applications. Above all, the strength-to-
weight ratio is higher than steel, hence starting torque,
power consumptions are less compared to steel Blowers.

We are designing the Blowers at the optimum RPM,


including blade designs / angles which insures best
efficiency and hence least power consumption with
minimum maintenance. The Unique feature of FRP Molded
impeller is that it is light in weight which minimizes the all
usual Blower's mechanical problems.

ESSENTIAL TECH. INFORMATION MUST FOR EVERY


USER

The essential function of blower is to provide the


required air / gas flow against the resistance of the
associated ducting and cleaning devices like scrubbers,
dust collectors etc.

The user must always know that blower can have large
number of operating point along the length of its
characteristic curve, varying from 'Static No delivery' to
'Free delivery'. However when the blower is connected to
ducted system, the operating point can only be that point
where the system resistance curve intersects the fan curve
as indicated in figure 1.
1 Nowadays the Backward bladed
blower is most widely used because of its useful feature of
self limiting power curve, the power requirement reaching a
peak at a flow rate some what higher than the normal
selection point and thereafter decreasing with further
increase of flow - as shown in figure 2.
2 Please not6e the
system resistance / pressure drop will depend on layout
details like duct size and its length, velocity, number of
bends, pressure drops in hoods, scrubber / dust collector,
chimney etc. Volumetric capacity depends on the
application's exhaust & ventilation requirements. If you are
unable to estimate the pressure drop and required capacity
/ volume, then let us know these details of layout.
