The Bankruptcy Services Group of Brown & Joseph
Celebrates its One Year Anniversary

January 2, 2008

It is hard to believe that it has been a year already. I am

referring to the beginning of the Bankruptcy Services
Group of Brown & Joseph. In our first year, we have
worked with several Trustees nationwide, assisting them
with the collections of preference default judgments and
domesticating judgments that arose from bankruptcy
proceedings to recovery of accounts receivable for debtor
companies.

The other major accomplishment is the undertaking of two

major preference cases on behalf of Chapter 7 Trustees, and
the debtor estates, both of which were nationally
recognized companies with a combined total of over 2,000
preference defendants for an estimated $30 million in
preference transfers. To date, we have filed approximately
400 adversary complaints with the Federal Bankruptcy
Court. Brown & Joseph provided these services to the
debtor estates strictly on a contingency fee basis.

In addition, we have represented a few of our current

clients in the preference defense arena. This would be for
preference actions asserted against vendors who have
conducted business and were paid by the debtor company
90 days prior to their bankruptcy filing. This service is also
offered on a contingency fee based on the reduction of the
preference demand.

Receivables Management Group

With many businesses searching for a solution to their

cash-flow management issues, Brown & Joseph offers our
clients a variety of full-service options tailored to fit their
dynamic, evolving needs. As the economy continues to
challenge Corporate America, we continue to redefine the
industry standard with perfected receivable management
solutions that help your business realize unmatched DSO
and Over 60-day Dollar Reduction, Bad Debt Write Off
Reduction, Work Flow Efficiency (FTE Redeployment or
Reduction), improved Deduction/Dispute Resolution and
much more. Our proven work flow and state-of-the-art
proprietary software technology, coupled with the expertise
of our highly trained staff enables our clients the ability to
increase their enterprise without increasing their overhead.

your business, without the need for investing in additional
personnel or capital expenditures. Our revolutionized third-
party collection services will prove to be a driving force in

Services Becomes its Own Branch, Bankruptcy Services
Group
November 15, 2008

Brown & Joseph’s bankruptcy services’ department has

branched off and created Bankruptcy Services Group.
Headed by Steven Gelsosomo, Bankruptcy Services Group
continues to make its way into the bankruptcy arena as one
of the best companies to work with, servicing trustees and
debtor estates.

Bankruptcy Services Group consists of talented staff

members including bankruptcy professionals, attorneys,
accountants, analysts and administrative staff, all of whom
have a wide array of bankruptcy knowledge. We have
worked with leaders of the industry in countless bankruptcy
related matters throughout the country. Bankruptcy
Services Group offers a wide variety of services including
preference analysis, preference recovery, preference
mediation and judgment collection.

One reason that our company is much more effective than

our competition is the use of our proprietary databases. We
utilize our Preference Analysis Database to input the debtor
estate’s accounting records and run specialized reports,
giving our clients an immediate look at the possible new
value and ordinary course defenses that may be raised by
each defendant. Bankruptcy Services Group also utilizes a
Preference Tracking Database to track all pertinent
information regarding each asserted preference action. The
database is web based and provides real time access to the
defendant’s data, including their contact information,
settlement details and legal filings, along with a detailed
chronology of the actions taken by Bankruptcy Services
Group.

Bankruptcy Services Group performs these services on a

contingency fee basis, which saves the debtor estate from
expending necessary resources.

Chris Cappuccilli Chris Cappuccilli was instrumental in the

founding of Brown & Joseph, Ltd. in 1996. Cappuccilli,
having worked in Business Development for several
conventional debt recovery agencies, consistently received
requests for help from his clients that were outside of the
normal company service offerings. Bringing this to his
managers he was denied the opportunity to expand the
support to assist with his client’s needs. Cappuccilli and
others from within the industry quickly assembled a group
of Subject Matter Experts with extensive expertise in
Finance, Credit and Collections, Quality Process Control,
IT and specific trade experience in Advertising,
Transportation, Insurance, Staffing, and Manufacturing and
Brown & Joseph, Ltd. was incorporated.
