RDS
Introduction of RDS operation
RDS (radio data system) is a system for providing information along with FM broadcasts.
! RDS service may not be provided by all stations.
! RDS functions such as AF and TA are only
active when your radio is tuned to an RDS
station.

# PTY information and the frequency of the current station appears on the display for eight seconds.

Using PI Seek
If the unit fails to find a suitable alternative frequency, or if you are listening to a broadcast
and the reception becomes weak, the unit will
automatically search for a different station
with the same programming. During the
search, PI SEEK is displayed and the output is
muted. The muting is discontinued after completion of the PI Seek, whether or not a different station is found.

You can adjust the bass/mid/treble level.

Adjusting loudness
Loudness compensates for deficiencies in the
low- and high-sound ranges at low volume.

Using the initial settings, you can customize

during preset recall.

Important
If the battery in your vehicle is disconnected the
Power Save mode is canceled. Turn on Power
Save again once the battery has been reconnected. If the ignition switch in your vehicle
doesnt have an ACC (accessory) position, it is
possible depending on the connection method
that when Power Save is off, the unit will draw
power from the battery.

! Do not attach labels, write on or apply chemicals to the surface of the discs.
! To clean a CD, wipe the disc with a soft
cloth outward from the center.
! Condensation may temporarily impair the
players performance. Leave it to adjust to
the warmer temperature for about one
hour. Also, wipe any dump discs with a soft
cloth.
! Playback of discs may not be possible because of disc characteristics, disc format,
recorded application, playback environment, storage conditions and so on.
! It is possible to play back up to 99 tracks on
one disc.
! Road shocks may interrupt disc playback.
! Read the precautions with discs before
using them.

Almacenamiento de las

La funcin BSM (memoria de las mejores emisoras) permite guardar automticamente las
seis frecuencias de las emisoras ms fuertes
en los botones de ajuste de presintonas 16.
! Al almacenar frecuencias con la funcin
BSM, se pueden reemplazar las frecuencias que ha almacenado con los botones
16.
% Presione LOCAL/BSM y mantenga presionado hasta que se active la funcin
BSM.
BSM comienza a destellar. Mientras BSM est
destellando, las seis frecuencias de las emisoras ms fuertes se almacenarn en los botones 16 en orden segn la intensidad de las
seales. Una vez finalizada la operacin, BSM
deja de destellar.

Introduccin a la operacin RDS
La funcin RDS (sistema de datos de radio) es
un sistema que ofrece informacin junto con
las transmisiones FM.
! Es posible que no todas las emisoras suministren el servicio RDS.
! Las funciones RDS como AF y TA slo se
activan cuando la radio est sintonizada en
una emisora RDS.
Recepcin de transmisiones de
alarma PTY
La alarma PTY es un cdigo PTY especial para
anuncios de emergencias tales como un desastre natural. Cuando el sintonizador recibe
el cdigo de alarma de radio, ALARM aparece
en el display y el volumen se ajusta segn el
volumen de TA. Cuando la emisora deja de
transmitir el anuncio de emergencia, el sistema vuelve a la fuente anterior.
! Se puede cancelar un anuncio de emergencia, presionando TA.

Uso de la bsqueda PI
Si la unidad no encuentra una frecuencia alternativa adecuada, o si usted est escuchando una transmisin y la recepcin se debilita,
la unidad buscar automticamente otra emisora con la misma programacin. Durante la
bsqueda, se visualiza PI SEEK y la salida se
silencia. El silenciamiento queda sin efecto
una vez finalizada la bsqueda PI, al margen
de que se haya encontrado o no una emisora
diferente.
Cuando no se pueden llamar las emisoras presintonizadas, como por ejemplo, al realizar viajes largos, se puede ajustar la unidad para
realizar la bsqueda PI durante la llamada de
las emisoras presintonizadas.
! El ajuste predefinido de la funcin de bsqueda PI automtica es desactivado. Consulte Cambio de la bsqueda PI automtica
en la pgina 27.

vom Hauptgert abgenommen und im mitgelieferten Schutzgehuse aufbewahrt werden.

! Beim Abnehmen oder Anbringen der Frontplatte darf auf keinen Fall Gewalt angewendet
werden, d. h. fassen Sie das Display und die
Tasten nicht zu fest an.

Die neu eingestellte Lautstrke wird gespeichert und fr alle nachfolgenden Verkehrsmeldungen abgerufen.

de programme. Pendant la recherche, PI SEEK
est affich et le son est coup. Le son est rtabli la fin de la recherche PI, quune autre station ait t trouve ou non.

dinformations routires
La fonction TA (mise en attente de bulletin
dinformations routires) vous permet de recevoir des bulletins dinformations routires automatiquement, quelle que soit la source que
vous coutez. La fonction TA peut tre active
aussi bien pour une station TP (une station
qui diffuse des informations routires) que
pour une station TP de rseau tendu (une station qui diffuse des informations faisant rfrence des stations TP).
1 Accordez le syntoniseur sur une station
TP ou une station TP de rseau tendu.
Aprs laccord sur une station TP, ou une station TP de rseau tendu, lindicateur TP sclaire.
2 Appuyez sur TA pour mettre en service
lattente dun bulletin dinformations routires.
TA apparat sur lafficheur. Le syntoniseur se
place en attente dun bulletin dinformations
routires.
# Pour abandonner lattente dun bulletin dinformations routires, appuyez une nouvelle fois
sur TA.

Premere ripetutamente SOURCE per passare a

delle frequenze di trasmissione
Premendo uno dei tasti 16 di preselezione
sintonia, possibile memorizzare sino a 6 frequenze di trasmissione e quindi richiamarle in
seguito con la semplice pressione dei tasti
stessi.
! possibile memorizzare fino a 12 stazioni
FM, 6 per ognuna delle due bande FM, e 6
stazioni MW/LW.
% Quando viene individuata una frequenza che si desidera memorizzare, premere
uno dei tasti 16 di preselezione sintonia,
mantenendolo premuto sino a quando il
numero di preselezione cessa di lampeggiare.
La frequenza della stazione radio selezionata
risulta quindi memorizzata.
Da questo momento, premendo lo stesso
tasto di preselezione sintonia la frequenza
della stazione radio viene richiamata dalla memoria.

Funzionamento dellunit
Sintonizzazione di segnali forti
La ricerca di sintonia in modo locale consente
di sintonizzare solo le stazioni radio con segnali radio sufficientemente forti per una
buona ricezione.
% Premere ripetutamente LOCAL/BSM
per attivare e disattivare la ricerca di sintonia in modo locale.
Quando attivata la ricerca di sintonia in
modo locale, sul display viene visualizzata lindicazione LOC.
Introduzione al funzionamento
del sistema RDS
La funzione RDS (radio data system) serve per
trasmettere delle informazioni durante le trasmissioni in FM.
! Il servizio RDS non viene fornito da tutte le
stazioni.
! Le funzioni RDS come AF e TA sono attive
solo quando la radio sintonizzata su una
stazione RDS.
# Le informazioni PTY e la frequenza della stazione corrente vengono visualizzate sul display per
otto secondi.

Se si sta ascoltando una trasmissione e la ricezione si indebolisce o se si verificano altri
problemi, lunit ricerca automaticamente
una stazione diversa della stessa rete che trasmetta un segnale pi forte.
! Limpostazione predefinita della ricerca
automatica AF disattivata.
% Premere e tenere premuto ripetutamente TA per attivare o disattivare la funzione AF.
Quando attivata la funzione AF, sul display
viene visualizzata lindicazione AF.
Note
! Per le operazioni normali di sintonizzazione, la
funzione AF deve essere disattivata.
! Quando la funzione AF attivata, solo le stazioni RDS vengono sintonizzate durante la ricerca di sintonia o la funzione BSM.
! Quando si richiama una stazione preselezionata, il sintonizzatore pu aggiornare la stazione preselezionata con una nuova frequenza

consente di ricevere automaticamente i notiziari sul traffico, indipendentemente dalla sorgente che si sta ascoltando. possibile

(una stazione che trasmette informazioni sul
traffico) sia a una stazione TP con estensione
alle altre stazioni del network (una stazione

Om diefstal te voorkomen, kunt u het voorpaneel van het hoofdtoestel verwijderen en in het
meegeleverde beschermende foedraal bewaren.

Inleiding tot de RDS-bediening
RDS (radiodatasysteem) is een systeem voor
het verschaffen van informatie tijdens FM-uitzendingen.

# De PTY-informatie en de frequentie van de huidige zender worden acht seconden op het display
getoond.
PTY-nooduitzendingen ontvangen
PTY-alarm is een speciale PTY-code voor het
aankondigen van noodsituaties, zoals natuurrampen. Als de tuner de radioalarmcode ontvangt, verschijnt ALARM op het display en
wordt het volume op het TA-volume ingesteld.
Als het noodbericht is afgelopen, keert het toestel terug naar de vorige signaalbron.
! U kunt een noodbericht annuleren door op
TA te drukken.

Als het toestel geen geschikte alternatieve frequentie kan vinden of als u naar een uitzending luistert waarvan de ontvangst
verslechtert, dan zoekt het toestel automatisch
een andere zender met dezelfde programmering. Tijdens het zoeken wordt PI SEEK weergegeven en wordt het volume gedempt. Het

De equalizer gebruiken
Er zijn zes voorgeprogrammeerde equalizerinstellingen, die u op ieder moment eenvoudig
kunt oproepen, namelijk DYNAMIC, VOCAL,
NATURAL, CUSTOM, FLAT en POWERFUL.
! CUSTOM is een aangepaste equalizercurve
die u zelf maakt.
! Als FLAT is geselecteerd, wordt er geen
aanvulling of correctie op het geluid toegepast. Door te schakelen tussen FLAT en
een van de andere equalizercurven kunt u
het effect van de verschillende equalizercurven beluisteren.
