CONVEYOR IDLER AND PULLEY

MANUFACTURING FACILITY
Started in the early 90s in Germany as a conveyor components factory, the company has expanded
into multi location across various countries and grown to design and manufacture the complete
material handling system. This company has three independent manufacturing units for manufacture
of Idlers and Pulleys, high tensile woven screens and Structures. The design and engineering
department is a separate state of the art unit with the latest software and supporting plotting facilities.

CONVEYOR IDLER
The Idlers are manufactured under strict quality control and Environment of Consistency. The process of Manufacturing involves in
process checking at each stage. The pipe length and boring is done on a fully hydraulic special purpose machine to ensure standard
length and concentric boring. After the fitment of housing the welding is done on Simultaneous Welding equipment, a special purpose
machine for ensuring that welding stresses do not affect the concentricity of the roller. The assembly of the roller is done on a
hydraulic assembly machine
After the roller is assembled each roller undergoes free rotation process to ensure that friction of the roller is within the acceptable
range. Each roller is subjected to Friction Factor and Run out tests. Apart from this 10% of Rollers are subjected to water and Dust
ingression tests

CONVEYOR PULLEY
The Pulleys are a highly critical component of the Conveyor System. During the manufacture the most
important factor is the quality of Raw Material .The shafts and the hubs should be of EN 8 material and free of
blowholes. The Shell and the End Plates are made out of IS2062 Mild Steel material. All the Welding between
the Hub and the End Plate and the Shell and the Endplates are subjected to DP test
The assembly of the Hubs and the shaft is done on a hydraulic Machine since the press fitment is very critical in
these 2 components. After the Pulley is assembled and the machining is complete the Pulleys are checked for
run out and Static balancing.
After Rubber lagging the Pulleys are checked for Shore hardness and Spark test is conducted to ensure proper
rubber lagging.
