Leakage Current
Leakage current flowing between line and ground in electrical equipment can present
a lethal shock hazard to users
The susceptibility of a patient to serious injury or death increases with patientconnected medical equipment
The low impedance path between the patient and equipment creates an
environment where the patient may complete the fault circuit
