Reign of Men:

An Intelligent Reaction Paper on

Palace backs CHR Probe of Duterte
Unscrupulous words
Rule of law and not of men shall reign.
8th most peaceful city in the world fames the City of Davao and her
peacemaker Rodrigo Duterte whom he managed his city as one of the most
secured city in the world. It is highly questionable on how his city clutched the title:
there are no murders happened, no massacred encountered, and no records of
crimes; did he clear them all? (Them refers to all the criminals, and murderers, and
the like.)
Presidential election 2016 will be the funny one. The presidentiable
candidates are like halo-halo in the hot-weathered period of time: Duterte is an
ice that melts down the other ingredients of halo-halo. Their batch was perfect, with
just an ice, all gone rumbled. He once faced the woman with citizen-identity
problem for his unscrupulous words and now, he must face Wharton grad for his
silly claims.
Back in time when he filed his presidential candidacy application form, he
mentioned that he killed criminals in his determination to maintain the peace and
order in his city and to be well-known by the world.
Article III Section 1 of the Philippine Constitution states that, No person shall
be deprived of life, liberty, or property without due process of law nor shall any
persons be denied the equal protection of the laws. If it is true that he withdraws
the life from that people then he, himself, used his powers against to the
constitution which is very contradictory to the human rights. The human rights are
not implemented for the VIPs only or for the President only or for the Davaoenian
or Manilenian only but for the general welfare. It cannot be applied partially but it
must be carried out to all.
I am in favor for how the palace supports CHR or commonly known as
Commission on Human Rights, to investigate Dutertes cases against the human
rights. The power of him is dominated by the law that protects the human rights. He
must use his powers accordingly to our constitution. It is justice for the person
withdrawn his life and its justice for their families. The CHR shall do their duty to
investigate all forms of human rights violations involving civil and political rights.
(Art XIII, sec 18.1)
To kill is to take away the life of a person. But in the other hand, Dutertes
way of ruling in Davao City is for protection of the majority: The peace and order
and the security in highly manageable. In davao, you will fel secure and safe. There
is no time to worry that you can be murdered in your own house, massacred by
someone else, or snatched in the street by Budul-budol gang, Martilyo gang, etc.
But, if he became the president of our country, he must follow on what is
scribbled on the Constitution because we dont want the Martial Law Government

anymore. It is unjust and inhuman. We are now in a free and democratic country
where we have the right to live our lives freely but in accordance with the
constitution.
Human life is something more than a mere animal existence. You shouldnt
withdraw humans life in your way of governance. We are in a democratic country
that practices the government of laws and not reign of men. No one is above and
beyond the law.
