Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Airport - Kandy (Travel time approx. 2 Hrs 45min; Distance - 103
Km)
You will be met on arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport and warmly greeted
by a Orangetrips Holidays representative and transferred to Kandy. Make a
sightseeing tour of Kandy. Visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, upper lake and Kandy
Market area. Check in at hotel and relax.
Overnight stay in Kandy.
Day 2: Kandy Pinnawala Nuwara Eliya
(Travel time approx. 2 Hrs
30min; Distance - 145 Km)
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit university area & the Royal Botanical Gardens in
Peradeniya. Visit the elephant orphanage in Pinnawala. Visit a spice garden to see
different spices and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Afterwards
proceed to Nuwara Eliya. See the mountains covered with tea bushes and cascading
waterfalls. En route visit a tea factory and a plantation to see the tea manufacturing
process. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup of Ceylon Tea.
Overnight stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 3: Nuwara Eliya - South West Beach
(Travel time approx.
4Hrs 45 min; Distance 214Km)
After breakfast leave for the South West coast of Sri Lanka. Travel through a
beautiful landscape & see the waterfalls of Sri Lanka. Enjoy the rich nature. Drive
through Kithulgala. Check in to beach hotel and relax by the beach.
Optional Activities:

White water rafting could be arranged at

Kithulgala.

Overnight stay in South West Coast Beach.

Day 4: Beach Colombo

(Travel time approx. 1Hr 50min; Distance 85 Km)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning relax by the beach. Afterwards leave for
Colombo. En route visit a Turtle Hatchery. Make Colombo City Tour. Visit a Buddhist
Temple, a Hindu Temple, Pettah, Fort, Galle Face Green, Independence Square, etc.
Discover the city & explore the shopping malls, such as House of Fashion and Odel,
etc. Evening at leisure. Night life lovers can explore the citys night life options.
Overnight stay in Colombo.
Day 5: Colombo - Airport
(Travel time approx. 45min;
Distance - 35 Km)
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport for onward flight.
