Jewish Ghettos
My Inquiry Proposal is about the Ghettos that Jewish people were
forced to be put into under Hitlers rule. More specifically, this proposal will
discuss how the Jewish people were treated, the various conditions of these
ghettos, and how they were created. Jewish ghettos are a topic that I believe
there is a lot of interesting information on but I have not learned much about
them in prior classes when I was taught about the Holocaust. This topic is
interesting to me because after hearing Reva Kilborts testimony, I realized
that that was a big part of her childhood was spent in a Jewish ghetto in
Warsaw. After hearing this I noticed that I was very unaware of how these
ghettos have come to be and what they were like.
I know very little about these ghettos that Reva Kilbort talked about
but I do know that all Jewish people were sent into them in many European
cities. While they were in these ghettos, they were also placed under many
different restrictions that affected all Jewish people. Reva also talked about
how small these areas were and how the attitudes of these people have
changed completely after being harassed by these new laws. In my past
classes where I learned about the Holocaust, I learned that Jewish were
placed in these ghettos for a long time before they were being moved to
camps. Its very sad to think that all of these events really occurred in the
past. However, to complete this assignment, I will need to conduct much
more research on the topic to accurately discuss the details of these ghettos.
To gather accurate information on the topic of ghettos, I would have to
focus on getting primary sources. For primary sources, I would like to hear
more testimonies of Jewish people that had to live in these ghettos that can
talk about the awful details of the conditions that they were put in. I would
also like to search for reports or other papers that can talk about the
descriptions of these camps spread throughout Europe under Hitlers rule.
I want to answer two specific questions about these ghettos in my
paper. I would like to know what Hitlers reasoning was for assigning them to
live in a poverty-stricken lifestyle while they lived in the Jewish ghettos. I
think that there isnt a rational reason as to why this happened but I do not
know much about what caused this event. I also want to answer the question
of how these Jewish laws that were declared by Hitler affected their daily
lives when they lived in the ghetto. I am aware that living in the ghettos was

very hard to do under those awful conditions, but I am curious as to how

these laws affected them on top of being in a certain area. I think that it is
awful enough that they were forced to move from where they lived but I
want to know more about how these changed the lives of many innocent
people.
In this paper, I want to address many perspectives about these
ghettos. My thought was that the Jewish people were misled to believe that
the ghettos were not as bad as they really were. I want to talk about Hitlers
perspective as to why the Jewish people had to go there, and I would like to
know the general publics feelings toward the mistreatment of this group of
people.
It is very well known that Hitlers speeches were very persuasive to the
general public, after being misled by their Chancellors words, why did
Germany think that it was the right move to start the mistreatment of Jewish
people.

Reflection
I believe that I am a helpful. View because of the feedback I left on this
paper. I had many questions about the topic and I asked in different areas of
this inquiry. I gave advice on where I thought this paper should talk about. I
even said what I thought the inquiry question should be for this topic.
Everything I wrote on this paper was written to help the person who wrote it
develop a well-written inquiry.
An example of something I wrote was when he discuss how unethical
test that Nazi doctors conducted where helpful to understand humans more
from a medical aspect. I asked the question of what specifically was learned
from these experiments because it's not good to bring up that topic and not
elaborate more on it. I hope that after my period view their writer will take
constructive criticism and improve on the topic in the flow of their paper. I
will also take what the person who reviewed my paper at said and put it into
mine to ensure a well-written inquiry.
