Fraction Fun!
Your child is beginning a chapter
that teaches basic ideas about
fractions. Problems in this chapter
involve showing, reading, and
writing fractions; building a whole
from parts; working with mixed
numbers; comparing fractions; and
recognizing equivalent fractions.

Vocabulary
Quiz your child on the following at fraction- a number that names part
of a whole
home to assist his retention of the numerator- tells how many parts

This week students will read a lengthy poem Summer Plans? It’s time
titled “I’m in Charge of Celebration.” A poem
