Studying:

-Study from either TN or Kaplan, for myself, I had studied from Kaplan as I found TN very hard
and not written in a good way like Kapkan, I never touched TN in my life except for the chapters
of Epidemiology and statistics, 2 small chapters.
-Revise from 2 AMAAAAAAAAAZING books which are Master The Board step 2 and 3, step 2 is
excellent for the MCQs part and step 3 is good for the CDM part, some information are present
in step 2 and not in step 3, they are very little, but my advise is to read both, not only one of
them.
-Read the Ethics from (100 cases) written by Conrad Fischer, this is the Ethics of USA which is
not different than that of Canada, but if you like a Canadian book, buy (Doing right written by
Herbert), it is a Canadian book and forget about the (100 cases by Conrad Fischer), as no need
to read both books.
-The statistics and Epidemiology, can read them from the TN, they are some definitions and
equations you have to understand and memorize and nothing more.
(B) Practicing QUESTIONS:
-You have 2 types of questions in the exam, the MCQs and the CDM, I think in the last few years,
the CDM part was the easy part of the exam by which the candidates are using to collect marks,
as there are plenty of time and about 40-45 questions of well known and well prepared topics of
medicine, which the candidates prepare very very well and sit in the CDM session collecting
marks easily, and to some extent, the CDM is like that, BUT, I think the examiners realized that
and start to get some weired unusual questions like what I get, like Frost bite, how to prevent
and how to manage, and Nasal bleeding, then give me 17 options to choose from, which occurs
with POSTERIOR nasal bleeding and not the anterior nasal bleeding !!!!!!!!!!, so be open
minded and prepare urself for any question and whatever question u get, stay caaaaaaaaaalm
and NEVER get panic and think positive to gain the most possible marks from any weired
unusual question you get.
-The Q banks you need to answer for the MCQs part of the MCCQE1 are:
USMLE WORLD step 2 CK
USMLE WORLD step 3 (has MCQs part for the MCCQE1 MCQ part and also has a CCS part for
the CDM part of the MCCQE1)
Kaplan Qbook step 2 CK
Kaplan Qbook step 3
First AID step 2 CK Q&A
Kaplan Qbank step 2 CK (if you want and still have time)
Kaplan Qbank step 3 (if you want and still have time)
Ottawa Notes has a CD with questions, I did not try and don not know one had tried it, you can
try, it is cheap, if GOOD, so it is GOOD, if NOT GOOD, u did not lose anything
NONE recommended Canada Qbank
I had tried LMCC (MCCQE1), very bad, you can register in it online to practise some CDM
questions that could be valuable, but as a total, NOT GOOD
-The Qbank for the CDM part of the MCCQE1, u can get from
CCS part of USMLE WORLD step 3 as I mentioned above
CDM part of the LMCC (if you like)
Some old questions you find in the MCCQE1 materials I had posted since 2 days, their links are
in a another topic in the forum.

-The most important thing you MUST do while practicing questions whatever MCQS or CDM, to
prepare 6 word files on ur computer, one for each branch of, IM, Ped, OB+GYN, Surg,
Psychiatry and Epidemiology+statistics+Ethics, while you are doing questions, you will get some
tricky questions and others, you will answer wrong, the notices, you have to write, collect there
in these word files, at the night every day after u finished, upload a copy of these files in a safe
place to avoid losing them if your computer system get broken or something like that, can
upload as a draft on ur email.
-After finish all Qbanks and about 1 month before the exam, you MUST revise all these notes as
these are the tricks you had fallen in while u r doing questions, you need to revise them before
the REAL exam (logic), u can revise them once or more, I had revised them 3 times.
-It will be amazing, if you can have a look on these books (Kaplan/TN + Master The Board step
2,3) once again before the REAL exam as that will give you huge self confidence that you are
prepared well.
-The usual important topics you must know by heart from ur study for the CDM part, better

-The MOST important thing in the night before the exam is to relax and rest and
sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep well and good.
-The day of the exam is a long day, u MUST eat breakfast very well, the morning session is 3.5
hours, after which u will be exhausted and tired, MUST get something high caloric sourse like
choclate and coffee, in the centres of the exams, they permit you to take Coffee and light foods
like choclate with u to eat while u r doing the exam, they are good for that, for my self , in the
rest between sessions, I eat choclate and drink Coffee and relaaaaaaaaaaaxed, some candidates

were searching in their laptop to be sure that they had done well !!!!!!!!!, VERY STUPID, gust
relax and collect energy for the 4 hours CDM part.
-In the MCQs session, time management is essential, u must give ONE MINUTE for each MCQ,
no more, in the CDM, u can give ONE HOUR for each 12-13 CDM question, u will do them in the
4 hours.
-After the exam, forget anything about the exam and enjoy ur life.
-I do not think that there will be someone who will do all this effort and get failed, because
ALLAH is fair and will NEVER take you down after you had done all that.
I am sorry if I had forget something, any questions, I am here.
GOOD LUCK.
