Ratio is a comparison of two numbers or quantities. Ratio questions could come in
various forms. But, there is only one working method. Some might seem very
complicated. Drawing models and tables would help you to solve the problem.
Example Question 1:

Q5.A garden centre sells tables and chairs in the ratio of 1:5. In one week it sells
35 chairs. How many tables would they expect to have sold?
Q6.In a day a café sold cheese and ham sandwiches in the ratio 4:5. It has sold 30
ham sandwiches. How many cheese sandwiches has it sold?
Q7.The total number of guests staying at two hotels was in the ratio 2:7. There
were 54 guests staying at the smaller hotel. How many guests were staying
at the larger hotel?
Q8.Sapna and Robbie have some biscuits. Altogether they have 14 biscuits. Sapna
has two more biscuits than Robbie. How many biscuits do Sapna and
Robbie each have?
Q9.Jane makes a fruit salad using bananas, oranges and apples. For every one
banana, she uses 2 oranges and 3 apples. Jane uses 24 fruits. How many
oranges does she use?
Q10. David and his friends prepare a picnic. Each person at the picnic will get:
3 sandwiches
2 bananas
1 packet of crisps
The children pack 45 sandwiches
How many bananas do they pack?
