Descripción del Sistema
Building on the excellent results obtained with the St. Georg® Hinge
Knee Prosthesis, in 1979 the Rotational Knee Prosthesis was devel-
oped, which allows axial rotation and reduces the forces acting on
the prosthesis anchorage.

Indicaciones - Indications

Differential Therapy in Primary Knee Arthroplasty
Orthopäde (1991) 20: 170-180
Indications for the various types of knee joint prosthesis systems depend on the state of passive and active stabilizers
(ligaments and capsule, muscles and tendons), the extent of the prevailing joint deformity, the basic illness, the type of
patient and the experience of the surgeon.
If the application of an unicondylar or total resurfacing knee prosthesis is not justified due to the present deformities
and joint instability the advantages of the stabilizing Endo-Model ® Total Knee Prostheses can be used.
• Varus and valgus deformity with contracture or laxity of the medial or lateral stabilizers
• Isolated or combined fixed flexion deformity with contracture of the posterior capsule
• Persistent external rotation of the patella despite of lateral patella- and / or tibial tract release
• Revision in the presence of severely damaged bone and soft tissue structures
