Satyajit Ray & Pather Panchali.

Pather panchali made in 1955, and Satyajit Ray became


famous by his films, one after another. He was the one of
the most talented scholars, prudent nature, film director
and humorist. His many vivid columns were deeply
sensationalized and readers enjoyment. Bengal gadget
Bibhutibhusan Bandyopadhyay wrote this story during the
period of partition. Vivid authentic is completely
description of children who were almost disregarded, and
lived in a village, because they had never seen train (Rail
Gari), and by-chance they had seen train, which was their
beyond of imagination. Bibhutibhusans depiction was

Harihar Ray(Kanu Banerjee) was pujari-(priest),in
Nishchindipur village. His wife Sarbojaya-(Karuna
Banerjee), was a simple house-wife had her two children-
Apu and Durga. Chunibala Devi, had been characterised
here-Indira Thakrun, a very prominent figure of old-aged
woman. Her all-over performance made her an eminent
woman character in this film. Apu and Durga were all
time Indira Thakruns partner, even we got one seen the
neighbours wife appeals for Durga of stealing deliberately
and blamed Sarbojaya for encouraging Durga anyway.
Apu was very little and he was unable to help his family
all over. But that was their routine while Apus elder sister
Durga loved her little brother deeply. She tried to keep
her brothers childish whim anyway. Every evening those
two little children planned to visit train but they listened
whistled on it. One evening they ran-away and that was
their long journey through the tall species of green grass
land, via long shots exposure, that was really very
beautiful to all over narrators conceptions. Simple
medeocure family sinks deeper into poverty. Sarbojaya
played a silent moment cried after her husbands feet
and Harihar discovered their big loss that was their
daughters death. Here the scene is -Harihar returns
home and she dies.
The death sequence again turned over into Indira
Thakruns death. Her face was always smily and she
sang-Hari Din to Galo Sandhye Holo Paar Karo Amare-
that means-O Lord! My life is almost end. Sunset appears
deep darken moment all over the sky. I must die.

Pather Panchali (According to the director)-


The film Director, we had some previous notions of the
film, how he depicted plots, via long-mid shots, one-after
another, absolutely in a unique way. He narrated in a
complete version from the very first day of schooling of
little Apu and the death sequences. The season refers
rainy season and Durga got ill-ed by the effect of first rain
of the seasonal effect.
Every Film director should active of his work, by means of
technical controversy. Editing sequences should be
elegant through the simplicities. This is the speciality of
Satyajit Ray, when he directed over motion-pictures. The
great director used background sound, which could reach
far-away with the symphony, made this film reach. The
film started over long shots, and Apu was first
characterised. Apu was the final character, who leaded at
the last moment of the last controversy. The director used
close-up, when Harihar cried and felt betrayed over some
others. He cried over afflicted heart, by taking Durgas
famous Shari. This moment Satyajit Ray, closed his
camera in a close-up vision. The main theme Satyajit Ray
used Fade-out, which can teach us the better
understanding of cinematic conceptions.

Summary:
Satyajit Ray directed this film within a short term and
there were some shots, which he had completed within
three days. The realistic narrative-Pather Panchali made
by the great influenced of Italian Neorealism, and the
works of Jean Renoir. Rays choice of perfect characters
for this film had re-arranged cinema sequences to make
the cinema better. Ray directed through the simplicity of
the random sequences of some significant episodes.
Satyajit Ray was awarded for his life-time performances.
