UTC55 Ultra Thin Client

The UTC55 enables you to dramatically
cut computing costs by sharing the untapped
power of existing PCs. The UTC55 access
terminal,Ethernet extension protocol, and
terminal services software work together to
efficiently harness excess computing
capacity and enable multiple users to share a
single PC. Best of all, IT staff and end users
do not need special training because this
end-to-end solution is easy to manage and is
compatible with standard PC applications.

With the Kingsem solution, each user still

has a standard monitor, keyboard, mouse and
speakers.However, instead of connecting
directly to a PC, these peripherals connect to
the UTC55 access terminal on their desk. The
UTC55 has no local USB ports preventing
users from connecting USB flash drives (if
USB flash drive support is required refer to
the UTC56 and UTC58).The solid state
UTC55 connects securely over standard
Ethernet to the host PC using the highperformance Kingsem User eXtension
Protocol (UXP).The UTC terminal services
software divides the PCs resources into
independent sessions that give each user
their own full PC experience. Up to ten users
can be supported from one PC when running
on a desktop operating system such as

operating system on the host (Linux
orMicrosoft Windows 2003 Server) up to 30
users* can be supported simultaneously. The
UTC terminal services software also works

The UTC55 bring all in a stylish new smaller
chassis (just 1 inch tall and 4.5 inches square) that
takes absolutely no desktop space at all when
mounted to the back of a monitor. We even include
the mounting bracket at no charge. Of course,
UTC55 include VGA support (resolutions up to
1280x1024), an Ethernet connection, PS/2
keyboard and mouse ports, audio output, and power
cable connections. The UTC55 does not have the
USB port or microphone input and is recommended
for the ultimate in economy and security.

WindowsXP SP3 support :

Kingsem has tested with the SP3 update , but Kingsem Advises that before you update to SP3
you should first test on a system to determine the impact to you renvironment since Microsoft
has enforced new behavior changes wit h Remote Desktop
Users settings .
Important notice: XP SP3, Microsoft has made user account policy changes.
Microsoft has made user account policy changes which sets a default to only allow
administrators to connect using terminal services that may result in the error Microsoft
message: "The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively". To
overcome these changes the administrator needs to adjust user account settings to add them
into "Remote Desktop Users" groups.
Linux Setup
1,please copy the two files into a desired directory;
2,Using the terminal window, type "chmod 777 lntsinst" press enter 3,then on the next line type
"./lntsinst" (make sure that you have root priveledges for this last command).
