Advanced formatting options can be viewed by using the following key combination Ctrl
+1
Custom Formatting
Different number formats can be written under custom manually to suit ones needs.
Cell Formatting
Complete options for cell alignment can be viewed using the key combination Ctrl+1
Text Alignment
Text Orientation
To add rows/columns, highlight the entire row/column and use Ctrl+ or right click and
use the option insert
To delete rows/columns, highlight the entire row/column and use Ctrl- or right click and
use the option delete
To adjust the size of either a row or a column, highlight the entire row or column, then
right click and chose column width/row height correspondingly
Format Painter
It is a very useful tool present in the Home ribbon under Clipboard to copy the entire
cell formatting
Conditional Formatting
It is present in Home ribbon under Styles. A variety of options are present to format
the cells according to the specified conditions
