Timings and number of days in a week : Timing is 9 am to 5.30 pm and flexible upto 30
minutesi.e.9.30amto6pm.Ifyoucamebetween9to9.30amthenyouhavetostaytill6pm
toavoidyourhalfdayabsence.Butifyoupunchedinofficeafter9.30amthenitiscountedas
youarepresentonlyforhalfday.Butthebestthing(especiallyforMechanicalEngg.)isthatwe
havefivedaysinaweeklikesoftwarecompanies.
Working Environment (culture): I would like to say it is normal, after a week of training in
conferencehallGETssenttotheirrespectivedept.andtheretheyhaveindividualComputers
(ForGETsonlyCRTmoniteristhere)andsharedlandlinebutthemainthingisthatthereisno
TableTennisroomandSmokingroomandcafeterialikeSoftwareCompanies.

Exit Options: After having experience of 4 years there are good options out there like
SamsungEngineering,SamsungHeavyIndustries,GSengineering,Technipetc.
JobSecurity:IwouldliketosayjobsecurityislessascomparedtoGovt.companiesasyou
knowprivatefirmsworksonperformancebasis.Firingrateisnothigh.Itisprettylowandthe
jobisquitesecuredifyouaredoingfine.
Anyothersuggestionsorinformationtojuniorsfromyourexperience:
OverallIwouldliketosaythatitisgoodcompanytowork(exceptintermsofsalary)andafter
having good experience you have very good chances to switch out there with some better
salary and perks in fact most of this type of companies are in NCR too. Before joining this
organizationIwouldlikeyoutoknowthatthereareverylimitedholidaysonly710inayearand
leavesforGETsareonearnandavailbasis,meansifyouhadcameregularlyforamonthyou
willearnoneleaveandthenonlyyoucanavailthatleave.Soifanyonehashomesicknessthen
hehastomanagethisonweekends.Andthesalaryofferedbythemisverylowascomparedto
othercompanies.
