The eClaimLink: A Vital Link to your Healthcare Business

On 24 November 2013 Dubai health authority

signed a revolutionary Health Insurance law. This
law is said to change the whole spectrum of
healthcare industry , the way Provider delivers
treatment
to patients , the way
payer
reimburses provider for the services and finally
the patients experience in receiving health care .

Some of the key mandates of the new insurance
law are:
Employers will be responsible for the
provision of health insurance for their
employees and their dependants.
Insurers, TPAs, brokers and healthcare
providers will require an annual DHA permit
in order to carry on their medical business in
Dubai.
Only DHA Participating Insurers will be
permitted to provide the mandated minimum
health insurance coverage.
The DHA will publish an approved price list
for medical services and healthcare providers
will be required to adhere to the approved
pricing.
DHA approval will be required to offer
insurance plans and for associated premium
charges.

insurance company. The care provider can
submit the claim using the online portal interface

DHA (Dubai Health Authority).

/ HIS system instead of filing the claim through

reduces errors that may occur due to re-keying.
