CIRCULAR FLOW (PRESENTATION)


In an economic circular flow, it appears as if all income and expenditure
remains in the circular flow of money. In reality, however, some amounts
of money leave the circular flow and other amounts enter it from the
outside. Explain these leakages and injections by using examples as well
as a fully labelled diagram

Presentation should include an introduction, body and conclusion.

The introduction and conclusion will be allocated 5 marks.

In addition, 5 marks will be allocated for the interpretation of the topic.

A maximum of 40 marks will be allocated for the body.

The economic development in the South African context consists of FOUR
phases.
Discuss the characteristics of the four phases as well as the consequences
of each one of the phases.

This term you have studied production, exchange and consumption. Now
you are going to do a class presentation using the concepts you have
learned. Work through the following:

Choose a manufacturing or processing business (preferably in your area).

Name and describe the inputs used in the factory.

3.

Describe the production process. You must make use of a diagram to aid
your description.

4.

Name and describe the capital goods used in the process.

5.

Describe the outputs (final or intermediate goods).

6.

Explain how the output is marketed and name the main customers.

7.

Which types of direct and indirect tax does the business pay? Explain the
influence of these taxes on the business.
