ABOUT GAUSS

Gauss's rating of a magnet determines the speed with which it works, and the thickness determines the
depth of penetration. Some companies that sell magnets list their products for their ability to Gauss
internal, not external Gauss number.
To determine the forces Gauss

Taking the gauss rating if multiplied by 3.9 and the resulting number exceeds 12,800 gauss , you
can no longer trust this assertion. Since the largest gaussaje a magnet Alnico or Neodymium is
around this figure for its potency in Gauss Interior. For example , a magnet 987 gauss nominal
external force equal to 3,950 Gauss nominal internal magnetic force .
It is important not to induce error in the belief that a product is getting more powerful , as both are
correct nominations for the same magnet .
A German mathematician named Karl Friedrich Gauss (1777-1855) applied mathematical principles
to a magnetic field . Thus was born the Gauss rating to measure the force of magnetism.
The Gauss rating of a magnet can be misleading . The magnetic field strength falls off very rapidly
from the surface of the magnet while it moves away from the target area. Real Gauss force
penetrates into human tissue can be much less than the number of Gauss the magnet has on its
surface when it moves away from the target area. Not only is the magnetic force to get a good
determination, but also the size of the magnet is crucial. The larger the magnet campo.Un bigger
the magnet has to be strong enough to penetrate deep into human tissue. For example, a Ceramic
Ferrite Magnet with minimal ( = 3,850 Gauss Internal , external Gauss = 987 ), to penetrate to a
depth of one inch must have a minimum score of 987 Gauss external force . For 2 "inches of
penetration the magnet must have 2.770 to 3.153 Gauss external rating force corresponding to
NdFe Neodymium Magnet in different graduations ( 27 to 35 ) .
The magnet material alone does not determine your overall strength . The mass ( size) of the
magnet should also be considered . If you had a neodymium magnet ( Neodymium is a rare earth
material ) with a rating of 12,000 gauss and a ceramic magnet with a rating of 4,000 gauss , which
would be stronger ? Naturally , you should choose the neodymium magnet , and that would be
correct if the magnets are the same size . Now suppose that the neodymium magnet has a 1/2 " in
diameter and is 1/ 8" thick and has a ceramic magnet 3/4 " in diameter and is 1/ 4" thick . Now
what is stronger magnet ? Although neodymium magnet has a rating of 12,000 Gauss and magnet
4,000 gauss ceramic nominal ceramic magnet has a stronger magnetic field due to its mass .
Better treatment results are obtained when the magnetic field within the tissue is about 500 to 600
Gauss ( external ) . To achieve this level requires a strong magnet to deliver the right amount of
energy. The penetration depth of the magnetic field appears to be at least as important as its
strength. This is extremely important . The larger the mass of the magnet , the stronger and more
effective it will be .
If the magnets are too small , the magnetic field will drop below therapeutic levels even before it
reaches the site of injury .

Note : If you find a magnet that does not specify whether it is internal or external evaluation can
determine the external rating of its internal divide between 3.9 . Example of an internal rating of
12,300 would have an external rating = to 3,153 gauss.
Is Gauss cumulative force to join several magnets ?

It is important to note is that the strength of a magnet gauss is not cumulative. In other words , if
each magnet has an index of 2.000 Gauss manufacturer and are 10 magnets in the product, the
strength is still 2,000 gauss , and 20,000 Gauss. Although more magnets attached means that the
magnets are spaced closer together , creating a larger magnetic field and uniform. The number of

magnets required to create a coherent field also depends on the size of magnets. As mentioned
above , larger magnets create larger fields but not more powerful..
