Elevation Control
The elevation of the Model 210 laser chair is controlled by the footswitch. Press the
right side of the switch to make the lift go up, and step on the left side of the switch
to lower the chair.

5.2

at one of the predefined lock angles to secure the chair in place.

6.

MAINTENANCE

6.1

Paint and Nonmetallic Parts

If oil or dirt adheres to painted or nonmetallic parts of the chair, it can be easily
removed by using a cloth moistened with a diluted neutral detergent soap. Afterwards,
use caution when wiping the components of the ophthalmic chair by using a clean dry
cloth.

6.2

Upholstery
Use the same procedure as described above.

CAUTION:

6.3

Do not wipe painted, nonmetallic parts or upholstery with volatile

solvents such as benzene or paint thinner owing to the risk of damaging
these parts of the chair.

Fuse Replacement

WARNING: Do not attempt to lift the shroud without unplugging all power to the
chair.
There are no externally removable fuses for the Model 210. The entire power module
must be replaced. First the shroud must be removed by separating the plastic shroud
from the velcro on each side and then lifting the shroud up to the chair frame. Hook
the shroud on the top of the lift, and disconnect all cabling. Loosen the four screws
securing the power module and remove it. Replace it with the same unit, securing it in
reverse order the same way that it was removed.
7.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
If the chair does not function, check the following points before asking for assistance.
1. Check to see that all cords and/or cables are securely connected.
If problems persist, call your dealer or Topcon for assistance.
