About FNTI (First Nations Technical Institute)
Since establishment in 1985, over 2000 students have graduated successfully from FNTI with certificates, diplomas and
degrees, granted in partnership with Ontarios Colleges and Universities. An Indigenous post-secondary institution, FNTI
offers programs targeted at indigenous learners across a wide range of post-secondary disciplines including aviation,
health, business, and public administration. FNTI delivers programming locally through its main campus in Tyendinaga
on Ontarios beautiful Bay of Quinte, as well as in numerous community locations throughout Ontario.

FNTI is seeking a Manager, Human Resources who has demonstrated leadership in transformative
Human Resources programs and services; as an Indigenous human resources practitioner,
understands the cultures and practices of First Nation, Metis and Inuit peoples, and is seeking an
opportunity to be part of a team of educators striving to make a difference in the educational lives of
Indigenous learners and their communities.
FNTI is seeking a leader who can assist FNTI in developing a learner-centered environment which
will include staff; who also has a strategic focus on policy development and implementation, coaching,
employee relations, employment, job evaluation, compensation and benefits administration,
performance training & development and outcomes, wellness, health & safety and payroll management.
The successful candidate will have successfully demonstrated leadership and managerial ability that
includes: coaching, relationship building, team development, problem solving, conflict resolution,
research and reporting and financial stewardship.
If you see yourself as part of FNTIs team and you have:

Three year diploma or degree in Business Administration - Human Resources, combined with a
minimum of three years related experience or a combination considered an equivalent by FNTI.
Demonstrated coaching, facilitating skills.
Established credibility as a Human Resources leader and manager.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated collaborative problem solving and conflict resolution experience.
Experience with job evaluation, compensation and benefit administration and payroll systems.
