Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time
horizons as part of a demand planning function.
Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical
forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast
model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions.
Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with Sales, Marketing to obtain and ensure
that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
Provide input for effective planning in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products,
and product phase-outs.
Using APO to optimize planning process
Supply Planning:
Operational Planning and Exception Management: Using MRP planning tools, place and manage
intercompany orders. For assigned region, manage lot specific orders daily. Ensure proper balancing of
inventory and that orders are not disrupting the supply chain when inventory is short for assigned
SKUs.
Inventory Management: Seek for opportunities to optimize inventory, availability across viable sourcing
lanes. Lead aging inventory process for assigned skus to identify products with excess inventory,
products approaching expiration, slow moving products and drive rebalance in order to optimize
inventory, reduce liability for aging inventory with minimize write offs.
Order management: Ensure day to day focus on availability, performing root cause analysis and
prevention and managing stock outs. Lead expedite meeting with supply planning for skus on fair share
allocation and escalate stock out issues to Supply Planning and MRP Planning leadership where
appropriate.
