Access Door
1. Open Access Door slightly to a position, which is parallel to the table surface.
2. Pull the Access Door out straight up.
3. Remove Access Door

Removing the Access door Trim

1. Grab the back corner of the access door
2. Slowly pull out the trim
Repeat step 1 for the other side.

Top Cover
1. Using a T-10 Torx Screw driver remove the four screws (2 in front and 2 at the rear),
which hold the top cover to the base.
2. Lift the top cover from the base.
3. Remove the Cleanout assembly from the rear of the printer.

Output Tray
1. Lift the tray to an approx 60o until the notch on the right hand side is properly
aligned with the base detail.
2. Slightly lift up the left side until the hinge clears the base.
3. Pull to the left until the output tray is disengaged from the base

The Output Extension

1. Pull out the output extension until in stops.
2. While pressing the output tray upwards, pull the output tray extension out from the
output tray.

The Output Stop

1. From its folded position, pull the output stop out from the output extension.

Input Tray
The Spacer
1. Using a T-10 Torx screwdriver remove the two screws holding the spacer assembly.
2. Lift the spacer from the base.

The Input Tray Assembly

1. Position both thumbs about one inch from the left and right edges of the intray and
slightly press the intray downwards, until both edges clears the notches on the
printers base.
2. Push the output tray assembly towards the printer.
3. Pull out the output tray assembly from below the printer.

The Input Tray Extension

1. From its folded position pull the right and left tab of the input tray extension from
the detail.
2. Remove the input tray extension

Carriage Assembly

Remove the two Platen Screws.

Remove the three Machine Screws.
Lift and Remove backbone from the printer.
While resting the backbone assembly on the base use a needle nose pliers to unplug
Carriage Motor and the Flex Cable connectors from the Logic PCA.
5. Remove the Backbone and Carriage Assembly from the base.

Platen Assembly
1. Unplug the OOPS flag sensor from the Logic PCA.
2. Unhook the Wiper Scraper from the right wall.
3. To remove the Wiper Sled while pushing the wiper sled forward with your fingers,
use a small screwdriver to guide the right section of the Wiper Sled to clear the base
rail.

Platen Assembly (part 2)

4. Unlock left bearing from the left wall.
5. Remove the screw from the right wall.
6. Lift the Paper Pick Assembly from the printer chassis, and ensure that the Service
Gear Drive Platen has been removed from the Wiper Shift Plate.

Capping Station
Prior to removing the Capping Station, it is assumed that you have:
o Removed the Case Parts and I/O trays.
o Removed the Carriage assembly.
o Removed the Platen Assembly.
1. Use a small flat screwdriver to unlatch the Sled Holder Cap from the base.
2. Unlatch the capping station from the left wall.

Power Button and Cancel Button

1. To remove the Aerosol Shield, unlatched the left side of the Aerosol Shield from the
base.
2. Remove the Power and Cancel buttons assy.

Sensor Switches
1. Disconnect the Access Door and the Tray Sensor switches from the Logic PCA
2. Unlatch the Actuator Support from the base.

Paper Motor Assembly

1. To remove the Paper Motor Assy, first disconnect the Paper Motor cable from the
Logic PCA.
2. Remove the machine screw, lift the front side of the Paper Motor Assy slightly
upwards until it clears the locating post and then pull the Paper Motor Assy
forward(towards you).

Logic PCA
To remove the Logic PCA, you must first remove the machine screws shown below, which
hold the PCA to the base.
