I am convinced that neither death nor life,

neither angels nor demons, neither the present
nor the future, nor any powers,
nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of
God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:36, 39

On the third day after Christ's death the Bible says, "And
behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the
Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the
stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was
like lightning, and his clothing as white as snow. And the
guards shook for fear of him, and became like dead
men." (Matt. 28:2-4)

As Mary looked into the tomb she saw "two angels in white
sitting, one at the head and other at the feet where the
body of Jesus had lain."(John 20:12) Then one of the an-
gels who was sitting outside the tomb proclaimed the
greatest message the world has ever heard: "He is not here,
for He is risen."(Matt. 28:6) Those eight words changed the
history of the universe! Thousands of years of darkness,
despair, and hopelessness died! Newness of life and hope
for salvation came alive! Praise the Lord from Whom ALL
blessings flow! Glory to God!

With those eight words joy and new life dawn in the hearts
of all who believe! What about you? Do you believe? Do
you have that joy in your heart? Is the risen Saviour real to
you? Please, don't leave Jesus in the manger.....or on the
cross....or in the tomb. He is alive! And he wants to walk
beside you everyday! Yours for a long, long walk, Pastor
and Sharon Webb

Healthy Notes by Glenn Paul

Your Medical Record

Part of maintaining good health is keeping up to date,
accurate medical records. You need to keep them handy
and available for your Doctor and care givers.

1. Keep it in your computer or home file, keep it up to

date and carry a print out or copy on your person at
all times.
2. It should include present and past medical problems,
allergies or adverse reactions to medications, current
medications and history of surgeries including dates.
3. Keep names and numbers of people to be contacted
in an emergency.
4. Keep Advance Directives (Living Will/ Power of
Attorney).
5. Make sure that this is part of your medical record
maintained by your Doctor and / or your medical
institution. Make sure significant others have a
current copy.

The promise of Christ

The 14th chapter of John’s gospel contains this promise our Lord gave his
disciples: “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask
the Father, and he will give you another Advocate (sometimes translated
Comforter), to be with you forever” (John 14:15-16, NRSV).

Jesus added: “I will not leave you orphaned; I am coming to you. In a lit-
tle while the world will no longer see me, but you will see me; because I
live, you also will live” (John 14:18-19).

What a wonderful promise! Jesus knew he would be dying. He knew the

disciples would see his resurrected body. But even after Jesus ascended
into heaven, the disciples wouldn’t be alone. The Holy Spirit would come
to comfort and embolden them.

“[My] peace I leave with you,” Jesus concluded. “Do not let your hearts
be troubled, and do not let them be afraid” (John 14-27).

Congratulations!

Computer and Heart Viruses
by Juan Rivera

Have you scanned your computer for

viruses lately? Most people have anti-
virus software installed on their PC’s
but they don’t catch all the little bugs
that you get when surfing the Inter-
net. Aside from your antivirus software,
you might want to consider installing a program
called Malwarebytes. The program is available at
www.malwarebytes.org. Download and install the
free version to see if your computer has viruses that
your antivirus software simply could not detect; you
may be surprised.

Have you scanned your heart for viruses lately? You

may not know this but sin is like a virus. As you read
Romans 5:12-21, it tells us that “…through one man
sin entered the world, and death through sin, and
thus death spread to all men, because all
sinned…” God offers us the cure for the sin virus
through Jesus Christ. As you read the words found in
Romans 3:23-26, remember that through faith in Jesus
the sin virus is cured.

Brothers and sisters, may the Lord bless us and help

us. I’m so thankful that Jesus died on the cross for our
sins. I pray that we continue to put our faith in Him.

R E C I P E - Peach Butter
Peach butter is a delicious alternative to jams
and jellies. Making it is a bit time-consuming,
but easy.

10 lbs. fully ripe peaches (about 30 medium to

large size peaches)
1 cup Water
1 cup Orange Juice
5 1/2 cups Sugar
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Ginger

Wash the peaches and place them in a large colander and rinse thoroughly
under running water. Cut out any brown spots and peel the peaches. Or, to
easily remove the skin, immerse the peaches in boiling water for 30 to 60
seconds. Remove from the boiling water and immediately place them in a
bowl of ice water. Slip the skins off the peaches.

Cut the peaches into halves or quarters and remove the pits. Place the
peeled and pitted peaches, water, and orange juice in a stockpot or very
large saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for about 10 min-
utes or until the peaches are softened, stirring frequently. Remove from heat
and let cool for about a half hour then place the cooked peaches in a food
processor or blender. Puree until smooth.

Pour the pureed peach mixture back into the stockpot or saucepan. Bring to
a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low. Stir in the cinnamon and gin-
ger. Simmer the mixture, uncovered, for 2 or more hours or until it thickens
to the consistency of applesauce or apple butter, stirring often.

Spoon the peach butter into hot half pint or pint size canning jars. Fill to
within one half inch from the top of the jars. Wipe the jar rims. Place the
caps and rings on the jars. Place the filled jars in a boiling water bath
canner with the water level about one inch above the tops of the jars.
Process half pint jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes; process pint
jars in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes.
