Examples of the system in place

These illustrations show the neat sleek effect that this system gives to exterior decking.
Cabling decking improves the visibility of the surrounding environment with no
cumbersome wood infills to block the view - yet still a great stylish finish.

A simple, effective, easy to install system for internal and external cabling
applications. No weld supports are needed and anchor points can be made
directly onto the surface of wood or masonry using surface mounted sockets

System B1 uses back mounted sockets

and ready assembled to length swage
fittings with a threaded tension adjuster.

System B2 uses back mounted sockets

with the threaded tension adjuster
pre-assembled, and a loose swageless ball
end for assembly on site. Cable is left over
length to allow cutting to exact size on site.

System B3 uses surface mounted sockets

and ready assembled to length swage
fittings with a threaded tension adjuster.
The ideal solution for the DIY enthusiast.

System B4 uses surface mounted sockets

with the threaded tension adjuster preassembled, and a loose swageless ball
end for assembly on site. Cable is left over
length to allow cutting to exact size on site.

Surface Mounted Sockets

- can be used with wood,

Stainless Steel Cabling

Each B1 Cable Assembly comprises

4mm 7x7 Stainless steel rope
Two back mounting sockets (either Full Sockets or C Sockets)
One swaged ball
One threaded ball swaged adjuster with lock nut
The wires are swaged onto the appropriate terminals here at S3i Ltd. The swaged stud can be supplied with its threaded ball separate
and can be fed through intermediate posts that have a clearance hole size of at least 7mm. The ball can then be placed on the stud
end and slotted into its C socket. Tension is achieved by tightening the threaded ball adjuster to suit and then locking with the lock nut.

Each B2 Kit comprises

4mm 7x7 Stainless steel rope
Two back mounting sockets
One compression (swageless) ball
One threaded ball swaged adjuster with lock nut
The threaded length is swaged onto one end of the wire, leaving the cable over length for the installer to cut to exact length and apply
the swageless ball end. Each kit comes with an instruction leaflet showing how this is done. Tension is achieved by tightening the
threaded ball adjuster to suit and then locking with the lock nut.

One swaged ball
One threaded ball swaged adjuster with lock nut
The wires are swaged onto the appropriate terminals here at S3i Ltd. The swaged stud is supplied with its threaded ball separate and
can be fed through intermediate posts that have a clearance hole size of 7mm. The ball can then be placed on the stud end and slotted
into its surface mounted socket. Tension is achieved by tightening the threaded ball adjuster to suit and then locking with the lock nut.
This system can be mounted in 2 ways:
1. The Clear Hole sockets can be fixed directly to timber posts using a 3" or 1 1/2 countersunk woodscrew.
2. The M6 Threaded Hole sockets can be fixed onto tubular posts using a tube clip and M6x20.countersunk
head screw in a drilled clearance hole of 22.2mm.

Each B4 kit comprises

4mm 7x7 Stainless steel rope
Two Surface mounting sockets with screws
One compression (swageless) ball
One threaded ball swaged adjuster with lock nut
