Your Blueprint for Attracting High-End, Soul-Aligned Clients

If you are a purpose-driven entrepreneur who is ready to get off the cash flow roller
coaster, and claim more freedom in your business and life, then you are in the right

My name is Lorna Li and I am a digital nomad and and internet marketing mentor
to visionary entrepreneurs who are on a mission to make an impact while living life
completely on their own terms. For the past four years, I have grown and run my
business from exotic locations like Bali, Thailand, Costa Rica, Brazil and Hawaii and
Im so honored to be able to share with you exactly how you can claim more freedom to travel in your business.
What inspired me to create an online business was a life-changing experience deep
in the heart of the Brazilian Amazon in 2004. I had been invited to participate in a
tribal festival in the Kaxinaw Indigenous Territory of Upper Jordo, in the state of
Acre, Brazil. Ive always been a spiritually-oriented person, and being able to spend
time in yoga and meditation retreats, or on pilgrimage is important to me.
Unfortunately, most U.S. companies only give you two weeks of vacation. Two weeks
into a Vipassana meditation retreat, I feel like I am just getting warmed up, just
starting to unlock the treasures of my mind. The last thing I want to do after 2 weeks
of meditation is to pack up my stuff, get back on a plane and go back to work.
At that time, I understood beyond a doubt that part of my souls purpose would be
deeply entwined with the culture and the people of the Amazon. And that in order to
truly live this purpose, Id need to go back there often.
Now, when it comes to travelling in the Amazon, its going to take you 2 weeks to
get anywhere. This is because elder shamans live deep in the forest, and getting to
their village typically requires taking a twin propeller plane to the nearest outpost
with a dirt landing strip and a multiple-day boat ride.
Mind you, there is no transportation in the tribal backcountry, so locating a boat
operator, provisioning yourself with enough food,water and gasoline to make the
journey up or downriver and back, plus additional supplies for the village, so that
your visit is a net positive for them, and not a drain on their limited resources, that
process alone might take days.
And then if it rains for days, which it does in the Amazon, then no planes are flying,
and no boats are travelling either, because most of the boats are open canoes, and
it really sucks to be on the river in a torrential downpour, or risk the possibility of
capsizing, as we did here.
The Problem with Adventure Travel & Your Career

Now the problem that I saw with many of the adventurers I have met in my life as
Ive adventure around the globe is that most people have to quit their jobs to have
these experiences. While they are having their adventure, or immersed in their
spiritual or cultural sabbatical, their bank account gets lower and lower, until that
critical point of having to grit your teeth, and prepare to go back to the real world
and look for a job.
Looking for a job while youve been off work for months or even years, is very
difficult, especially with high-paid, high-caliber career-oriented positions.

Employment gaps are red flags to many corporate employers, and corporate culture
tends to be advancement-focused. If you want to be promoted, you need to put in
at least a year of solid employment in your current role, with a documented track
record of wins before you can feasibly ask for a promotion and raise, and get one.
Low-end service jobs (as restaurant servers, bartenders, massage therapists, yoga
instructors, deli staff, etc) are much more forgiving about long stretches of time off
so long you can find someone to cover your shift. But then put yourself in the make
money at home so you can spend it all while you travel game. And while this can
work out just great in your 20s and 30s, keep this up, and you run the risk of being
trapped in low-end service jobs in your 50s or 60s with little savings.
How to Travel While Increasing Your Income

Now Im a careerist. I like to be intellectually challenged, increase my skills and I
want to be paid increasingly well as I uplevel my mastery. So the low-end job trap
thing was simply not appealing to me. Neither did I want to be an English teacher in
Brazil.
And I wanted to have the freedom to spend 3, 6, 9 months or more in Brazil or
elsewhere. Living and working with shamans and their tribe. Without sacrificing my
income. Ideally, while increasing my income. And my knowledge. This was what life
would look like on my terms.
I realized that the only way to solve this issue was to figure out how to make money
online.

living it exactly on your terms, if money, time, and knowledge were

An online business has the power to give you location freedom, and the ability to
generate increasing leveraged, recurring revenue, as you uplevel your skills, and gain
mastery of your craft... and become smarter in ways a low-level service job will
never inspire.
The easiest and fastest way to get earn money online is to get paid for your
expertise. Setting up a virtual coaching or consulting business is as easy as creating a
single web page with a Paypal button.
Unfortunately, while its easy to start your business that way, building your business
so that your online presence attracts a steady stream of qualified visitors who turn
into retainer-based clients takes more work. But the payoff is well worth it.
The freedom to change countries or travel on a whim. The freedom to own your
own time. The freedom to reach global audiences and transform more lives. The
freedom to immerse yourself in spiritual or cultural pursuits.
So if having life-changing adventures, going on pilgrimages to hard-to-access
places, or plumbing the depths of your mind for longer periods of time than 2 weeks
(without having it impact your career, cause you to hemorrhage money, or keep you
trapped in low-end jobs until your elder years) is important to you, then read on.
Your Soul Tribe - The True Key to Freedom

There is a vast array of software, gadgets and tools that will help you run your
business from anywhere in the world. But the one thing that is the true freedom
gamechanger is having your soul-aligned tribe of fans, prospects and clients join
your email list.
Having a soul tribe gives you:

The freedom to run your business from anywhere in the world
Freedom from worry and anxiety over not knowing when your next
client is going to appear
Freedom from the stressful cycles of feast or famine that plagues so
many experts, consultants, coaches, and service providers
Now, the big problem I see with so many experts is not taking the time to build their
tribe - and when I say tribe, I really want to emphasize those people who join your
email list. Not your Facebook friends, LinkedIn network or Twitter followers. Your
email list of people who specifically voted to stay connected with you, because they
love who you are, and what you do.
Why arent your social media friends your tribe?
Well they could be, but I like to think of my social media community more as my
reach.
This is because while people wont receive my news and updates in the same way as
my news landing in their email inbox. Its estimated that only 2% of people in your
social network actually see your update.

Think about it. The person needs to be in front of a device - their desktop, laptop, or
mobile phone - at the moment you make an update. If you get a lot of social
engagement on your post, your update may hang out in the news feed a lot longer.
But that tends to happen for inspiring photos, cute cat pictures, controversial posts
about politics or gender, not for promotional posts about your business. So you
might have a huge social network, and very few people who see your updates.
Also the algorithms of some of these platforms - in particular - Facebook - is
oriented to get you to spend money on advertising. Which is why fewer of your
Facebook fans actually see a Facebook fanpage update, than a personal profile
update. Because after spending all this effort to build up your fanbase, you are now
faced with the need to run paid advertising campaigns if you hope to get an ROI for
your efforts. Smart on Facebook, frustrating for Facebook fanpage creators.
While engagement on your posts might feel like you are making progress, unless
you are getting those people who are liking, commenting and sharing your post to
actually get on your email list, engagement is actually not a value-driving
activity. In other words, spending a lot of time getting engagement on your updates
is a time-sucking, unprofitable activity.
Now if you intend to run paid advertising campaigns to your Facebook fanbase,
then engagement can be useful, because it will increase your social reach, which can
attract more Likes, which will improve your Facebook demographic targeting and
audience reach.
However, building up a large Facebook fanpage audience is really a long-term

strategy with paid advertising being the engine that drives email list growth and
monetization.
If you are eager to attract ideal clients that pay you what you are worth as soon as
possible, there are faster, more lucrative methods than spending your time and
energy creating a content firehose on social media sites.
Who is Your Soul Tribe Anyhow?

Your soul tribe is NOT your target market. Your soul tribe is NOT your
niche. Your soul tribe is NOT anyone who needs your service. Your soul
tribe are the people are so aligned with your mission and message that
when you work together, it feels like magic and your work together ignites
a movement.
Collaboration with any soul-aligned tribe member feels like a full-body,
ecstatic, Yes!

The Top 5 Reasons Your Soul Tribe is a Business

Gamechanger
Having an email mailing list of soul-aligned fans prospects and clients will uplevel
your business in so many ways. It is so much more powerful and lucrative than
having a massive social media following.
And NOT building your tribe keeps so many talented, experienced experts struggling
to find clients, working too hard, for too little and feeling like the worlds best kept
secret. Below are the top reasons why building a soul-aligned email list rocks.
1. Your Tribe is Your Personal Economy that Follows You Wherever

You Are
So one of the top things I love about having a tribe is the fact that your tribe is your
personal economy that follows you wherever you go. It doesnt matter whether you
are in Hawaii or Timbuktu, when you have a tribe of followers, people who love
what you do, the information that you provide, and the services that you perform
then you can go anywhere in the world and continue to offer your services to that
tribe and be paid for it. So your tribe is actually the ticket to true location freedom.
When you have a tribe, it frees you from the hustle of having to go to local network

in events and drumming up local business and talking to a whole bunch of people
that you may not want to talk to, who you may not even remember in the hopes
that somebody will actually hire you or refer your business. So you no longer have
to do that if you have a tribe of ideal fans, prospects and clients. And then you also
dont need to host local workshops in order to attract new clients because again you
can send an email and invite members of your tribe to participate in an online
workshop, for example.
So for those of you who love to travel, you may find that it is really hard to find local
business if you are in a country where you dont really speak the local language, or
the cost of living is considerably lower so that the amount that the local person will
pay you would only be a fraction of what you would charge a person in your home
country. So having a tribe allows you to ability to benefit from geo-arbitrage, where
you generate income from wealthier parts of the world so that you can live a
luxurious, comfortable and adventure-filled lifestyle in cheaper part of the world.

The Power of Geo-Arbitrage

Geo-arbitrage is the practice of earning income in a wealthier part of the
world, with a stronger currency like US Dollars, Canadian, Deutschmarks,
Euros, and British Pounds, and living a high-end lifestyle in another part of
the world where the currency is weaker, like Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand,
Argentina, Croatia, Slovenia, Brazil, and Spain. There are many countries in
Western Europe where the cost of living is significantly lower than
high-priced cities in the United States, like San Francisco, or New York. The
dollar goes further, you can live a great life, eat well and enjoy wonderful
experiences.
Enjoying luxury accommodations at The Reverie Hotel, in Pai, a hot-spring mecca in

the gorgeous highlands of Northern Thailand, where I participated in a co-working
weekend with other digital nomads based in Chiang Mai.

In Thailand, my luxury condo with bimonthly cleaning service, cost $700 a

month. Scooter rental, gym membership, delicious Thai food out, 3 meals a
day ($2-$5 a mouthwatering dish), weekly 2-3 hour massage and spa
treatments brought my living expenses up to $1500 / month. I could take
cheap, inter-Asia flights to visit other countries in Southeast Asia, or other
islands in Thailand, and enjoy a week at a white sand beach hotel. I actually
lived on the island paradise of Koh Phangan, where my oceanfront bungalow
cost me $500 a month to rent.
Even if you decide that the digital nomadic lifestyle is not for you, imagine
enjoying 1 month in Hawaii or Spain, because you can. Even though there are
times when I do work a lot, especially before a launch, I would not give up the
freedom to change countries or choose how to spend my time, or whom to
spend it with for the security of a job.
One thing that I do know, beyond a doubt, is that if I decided not to grow my
business anymore, or if I was ever worried about not having enough money to
retire in the United States, Id much rather live out the rest of my life in Bali,
than get a job in my 50s or 60s!
You know you are an entrepreneur at heart when youd rather work 24/7 for
yourself, than 1 hour for someone else!

2. Your Tribe is Opens Up the Door to Accelerate the Growth of Your

Business through Joint Venture Partnerships with Bigger Influencers
One of the beautiful things that opens up when you have a tribe is that it creates
the opportunity for you to rapidly accelerate the growth of your business through
joint venture marketing. Joint venture marketing is when you work with a referral
partner to promote each others offers and businesses. So a referral partner can
send hundreds, if not thousands, of qualified visitors to your offer, and these leads
are much warmer than leads that came from search engine traffic, social media, or
even paid online advertising.
For service-based professionals, joint venture marketing is a really powerful way to
take your business to the next level. However, one of the biggest obstacles that gets
in the way of experts, coaches, consultants, healers and anyone who wants to tap
into the power of joint venture marketing, is not having a tribe, a.k.a an email list.
This is because a joint venture relationship is one that is based on reciprocity, so if
your partner is promoting you and your offer to their audience, they are going to
expect you to do that for them down the road. But if you dont have an audience to
promote to, then its hard to negotiate with cross-promotion with partners.
So that is why it is really important for you to consider about building your email list,
your first thousand tribe of ideal fans, prospects and clients if you want to tap into
the power of joint venture partnerships.

3. Your Tribe Enables You To Sell Products and Programs Before

Youve Actually Created Them
One of the tangible benefits to having a tribe is that it can give you crystal-clear
clarity over what to sell. I see many experts struggle and agonize over what
products, programs or services to offer. Chances are there are many different ways
in which you can support your ideal clients in overcoming the problem that they are
struggling with and achieving the transformation that they deeply desire. So picking
one thing to start with can be a challenge!
When you have an audience, you can engage your audience and discover what it is
that they would most like your help with solving. This is as simple as sending out a
survey, a survey that has a list of the top 5 ways you feel inspired to help your
audience. This way, you can let your audience vote in terms of which solution they
feel is the most important to them now. This will give you really valuable feedback
in terms of the kind the content to offer in your free newsletter and in your
complimentary trainings. And even better, when you have a tribe, you can also
pre-sell your programs before you even create them.
How does this work? Lets say you received your survey result back from your tribe
and everyone voted on a particular solution that you offer. So lets say you are a
healer and you offer vibrational flower essence healing, for example, and that whats
most of your audience has indicated they really want from you.
To make it cost-effective for members of your tribe to work with you, you feel
inspired to create an online group program, say, a five-week program on how to use
the power of flower essences to elevate your vibration and heal past traumas.

You make an outline of the program, then email your list and say, Hey, I am inspired to create an online course about vibrational healing with flower essences. Im
going to create this program if 10 people buy it. As VIP members of my tribe, you
get to buy the program at a great early bird price. If fewer than ten people buy this
program, the I will refund everybodys money back.
Pre-selling programs BEFORE they are created is a powerful way of doing market
research, because it shows how many people in your tribe are actually willing to
invest. One of the things to be aware of is that people answer surveys and respond
with their wallets in very different ways. Pre-selling your program will allow you
decide how many customers you need to have in order for it to be worth your time
to create this program. So many experts spend weeks and months creating programs
before they even have an audience and email list to sell their program to. Once they
are done, they might have a beautiful product, yet they still have no customers.
Creating an audience first, then selling to that audience is a more efficient way to
roll out an online program.
Another big mistake that I see so many expert entrepreneurs make is creating
programs in a vacuum. They THINK they know what the market wants and they
spent a lot of time creating that solution, creating that product.
Maybe they asked their friends and family, What would you do if you had this
problem? Im thinking about creating this online course. If you had this problem,
would you buy it. Most friends and family, because they want to be supportive, will
say, Yes! What a great idea! This is a terrible way to validate a product that can
take weeks and months to create.

Maybe they asked the people in their co-working space or at a local meet-up related
to their industry. But the way that those people answer is not the same as getting
that feedback from your own tribe. And so what I see happen to lots of
entrepreneurs is that they get this all this information from random people, and then
they build something they THINK the market wants and needs. They spent all their
time creating that product and when the product in done, they still do not have an
audience that they can sell the product to, and they dont even know if really what
the market is willing to pay for.
4.
Your Tribe Gives You The Ability to Make Money While You Sleep
One of the biggest promises of Internet marketing is that you can make money
while you sleep. Now many entrepreneurs who are fairly new to the Internet
marketing game, think that all it takes to make money while you sleep is to create a
product and put it on your website. So they spend weeks or months creating their
product, they put up a sales page with a buy button, then nothing crickets.
Thats because most website owners simply dont get enough qualified traffic to
their site on a day to day, or month to month basis. Not everyone that lands on your
website is a qualified prospect, or ready to buy. If your online course or program is
several hundred or several thousand dollars, the likelihood that a person will
stumble upon your website and invest in, say, your a $2000 program, decreases
with the price point.

The way most program creators sell their $500-$2000 programs is through
joint-venture launches, where the window to purchase the program is open for a
few days only, before the cart closes and the program begins. The urgency created
by the time-sensitive enrollment period also helps to sell a program thats a several
thousand dollar investment. Many of these group programs have specific start and
end dates, much like semesters at a university.
Now, if you have your own email list, you can do internal launches to your own list.
The catch is, even members of your tribe arent going to invest in your online course
because they receive ONE email about it. Most people in your tribe need to be
educated as to why your program is going to help them solve their problem now.
And it may take an email series and a webinar for them to discover this.
The great news is, you can automate a lot of this. You can set your email service
provider to send these emails at specified dates and times. You can get on a plane
while all of this is happening. And as you slumber while you fly across the Pacific
ocean, your fans are investing in your products, money is being deposited in the
bank, and you wake up and disembark the plane a richer person!
5. Your Tribe is The Key to Going From Worlds Best Kept Secret to
Sought-After Authority
One of the biggest complaints I hear from experts is that in spite of all the
knowledge, skills and experience they have, they feel like the worlds best kept
secret. This is particularly true for experts who leave their corporate jobs to start
their own businesses. You see, when you are an employee for a company, your

co-workers know you as a the subject matter expert in whatever role you occupy.
Your industry colleagues know you and relate to you by your job with the company.
If you leave your company to work for yourself, its almost as if you become
nobody. Unless you become a consultant and sell the same knowledge and
expertise back to your former employer or offer your services to the companies
your former industry colleagues work for. Even if you did try to do this, your
industry relationships might change. Many companies, especially big corporations,
have their preferred vendors. So it may not be easy to switch from Social Media
Director of your former employer, to the agency or independent consultant that
provides those same services to that same company, or to the organizations that
employ your industry colleagues.
It can be even more difficult if you leave a corporate job and decide to pursue your
dream career of being a relationship coach, or a health and fitness coach. Unless
youve been building up your coaching business as a side-hustle business for years
before cutting the corporate umbilical cord, you essentially enter this new field as a
nobody, in spite of all your knowledge.
But this can all change very quickly, with the right strategies in place. Its possible
to skyrocket from worlds best kept secret to sought-after authority in your field
within a few short months.
This art of building your audience and tribe quickly is what I love to help my clients
do!

How Do You Start Attracting Your Tribe?

There are so many different email list-building strategies to choose from that will
help you build your tribe. Ive tried nearly all of them, and have concluded it really
boils down to determining which method is right for you. There are slow methods,
where tribe members join your email list in a slow, steady organic trickle. And there
are faster methods, which may be controlled by how much advertising budget you
allocate, and where you advertise. Heres my list of some of the top ways to build
your email list, from fast to slow:

Hosting a virtual summit
Implementing a paid advertising funnel using Facebook or Google Ad
words

Guest-blogging on high-traffic authority websites in your niche
Speaking at a conference in front of hundreds
Webinar exchanges
Video-blogging on YouTube
SEO-blogging on your own website
Hosting a live workshop or event
Networking at a meetup or industry event
The diagram on the last page of this eBook shows you the blueprint of an online

The basic tools you need to begin collecting emails are easy. There are so many
tools out there, that its beyond the scope of this guide to review all of them. But if

Service that lets you easily publish different kinds of lead generation
Once people have joined your email list, then you implement a process of
connecting with your audience and providing value - information that will help solve
their most urgent problems. Once you have this system in place, you can automate
a lot of it. Since the Internet never sleeps - morning in San Francisco is night time
somewhere else - you can effectively attract ideal fans, prospects and clients 24/7.
One of the big issues I see with many online entrepreneurs is NOT setting up a
complete system, but focusing all your attention on one part of the system. And this
comes from not knowing what the entire system needs to look like in order to
function properly. I was guilty of this myself.
For years I was a blogger. I wrote hundreds of blog posts. But I didnt have a
newsletter signup box on my blog for nearly 2 years. I wrote search engine
optimized content, so I got visitors from Google and Yahoo (back then), but even if
they wanted to stay in touch with me, they couldnt. There was no way to sign up
for my newsletter.
If theres one thing I regret in my entrepreneurial journey is not getting that optin
box up sooner! Who knows how many hundreds or thousands of people would be
in my tribe sooner, who I could help, who wouldve been overjoyed to pay for my
support!
