2.

How might you reorganize the Laws course?

Stated from my answer to question number
1, the students should be given a handout from every
reporter. The handout would be useful to the students
after ever chapters, to refresh the minds of the
students. At the end of the term, a debate will be held
using those handouts just to test if the students have
learned from the course.

3.

What should be modified or added in the ECE

program to further strengthen the course?
In every laboratory class, a law should be
discussed. For example, the law pertaining to ECE
equipment should be discussed in details for the
students to understand how it will be handled with
caution.

4.

Copy course outcomes from syllabus, then provide

your comments

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS:
1.

Overall, what improvements would you suggest to

make Laws a better course?
The course ECE70, ECE Laws, Codes and
Standard, is the study of various laws, codes, ethics,
and standards in the practice of the electronics and
communications engineering profession. From the
name of the course, Laws, after all the reporting of all
the students, the professor should give one problem
pertaining to ECE laws and all the students should
have a debate to know if the students learned from all
the laws.

commercial including global procurement,
laws to the engineering profession, and identify
and demonstrate ability to resolve issues of
merger of rights, conflict of interests, safety,

solutions to ethics, obligation, and contractsrelated problems and cases and then find optimal
solution; demonstrate oral and written skills,
correctly (lawful, ethical), clearly, critically and
logically used and properly referenced during
case analysis.
-

5.

From the ethics related problem, the

students were able to have an alternate
solution to the cases given by the
instructor like the XYZ and Bayani
Cases.

Where presenting group members or classmates

motivated in your particular case?
The group members who presented a skit
motivated me to have a better presentation to have a
high grade.

6.

State where and how you managed to apply what you

learned in previous courses, cite examples

The procurement in ECE equipment was the

law that I managed to apply. It is stated in the law
that the waste from the equipment are hazardous to
the environment and to the people around me. When
doing my prototype to my other subject, It is applied
that etching used developer and ferric chloride. Ferric
chloride was a hazardous chemical to the
environment. It required proper waste disposal.

7.

What new knowledge did you acquire?

Being an ECE student, I didnt know that such
laws are existing. New knowledge about how
contracts and obligation in every party has to do with
it. Pertaining to ECE Laws, it should be required to
every student that it should be learned.

8.

How much did your marketability improved because

of this course?
From the laws discussed, I would say that
my knowledge about ECE laws improved in a 50%.

9.

Any other relevant comments?

Overall, from the course, the flow of discussion
should in a strict schedule.

10.

List people who helped you and how can be

contacted.
The people who helped me are my classmates
who also took laws last term. These people can
be contacted through facebook.
